We really enjoyed our holiday here and we would highly recommend Tindarra. The grounds and accommodation are immaculate. Steve and Rosie are friendly and accommodating hosts. The pool and cave spa are absolute must! We fished off the banks, yabbied in the dam, swam in the awesome pool and spa and relaxed in our beautiful villa. There is a supermarket 2 min drive very handy plus local clubs close and they have courtesy vehicles. We had a fantastic family holiday here.

Room Tip: We were in Villa 21 immediately opposite the pool gate, very handy. But this a small resort and its...

We stayed a couple of nights at Tindarra but wish we could have stayed longer, it was so relaxing. Hosts Rosie and Steve provide a high level of friendly service that we have not seen elsewhere, and they set an example to all such establishments. No fuss, no problems, always helpful. Villas are very spacious, fully airconditioned (but you can open the windows if you prefer, unlike some places), fully equipped (Miele appliances), very comfortably furnished, deck with views to the river, and even a full carport for every unit. The occasional hooting turned out to be the paddle-steamers sailing along the edge of the property - great photos. We stayed as a couple but this is a great place for families, with the best pool we have come across, acres of grass, the Murray River, a dam with yabbies and the hosts' own pet rabbits and cute little dog Floyd. If that's not enough there are hundreds of acres of mown grass over the road, plus a club and restaurant. We noticed that Tindarra has also been hosting weddings, and after having had a few in our family (but not at Tindarra) it looks like a perfect setting for a marquee-on-the-riverbank affair. Although our villa was spacious, we would have been very happy in a smaller one, but I guess they are catering more for families and groups of friends. We will return, but for longer next time.

Room Tip: About half the villas have an open aspect towards river, so I'd expect these to be quieter. If y...

We stayed at Tindarra this weekend as part of a hens weekend. We booked 2 x 3 bedroom villas for 14 of us and there was plenty of room for all. Our villas faced onto a beautiful grassed on the river. We enjoyed drinks and dinner on our balcony in the beautiful surroundings. Rosie and Steve were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome and joined in the fun. I cannot rate Tindarra high enough!! We will be recommending Tindarra to all our family and friends.

First off, I have never written a review, but felt that I simply had to about Tindarra! We spent 5 amazing days there and I knew my 2 girls (aged 7 and 11) were going to love it when we pulled up and Steve greeted us holding his puppy Floyd. My youngest was thrilled to be allowed to pat and play with the puppy. To top it off there were also two bunnies on site that she was able to visit whenever she pleased :)
The villas are gorgeous... clean, spacious and fully equipped. Anything that you need to be comfortable or to cook with is at your disposal. I even cooked a roast the first night because I was so excited to use the Miele oven! (crazy I know lol)
The girls loved the pool with the spas. The way they lit up and changed colour at night was a delight. We had never seen that before! We were also able to go yabbying (one that we saved was placed in a tank in the foyer), played basketball, ate bbqs, ran under the sprinklers, and watched the paddle steamers.
Many many thanks to Steve and Rosie for their remarkable hospitality... never before have I made a point of taking the entire family in to say thanks and goodbye when handing our key back. But this time it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. We have even re-booked for next year already!
Definitely do yourself a favor and stay at Tindarra. I have been staying in Echuca Moama for many many years and this is by far the best accommodation in the region. Oh and Rosie teaches you how to make awesome plunger coffee!

Room Tip: No matter where you stay you are close to everything. We had a room with a view of the river (others...

Excellent accommodation, excellent facilities and excellent hosts. You can't ask for more. Hosts Rosie and Steve go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable, convenient and enjoyable. Everything you need for fun with young families as well as older folk - pool with waterfall cave and spas, tennis court, basketball ring and plenty of space for good old fashioned "backyard cricket". Some good clubs nearby for dining out and just a short drive into all the attractions of Echuca. Highly recommended.

This place is quality all the way through. We were in Echuca-Moama to visit family and needed an expansive and stylish place to stay - somewhere where we could be comfortable and relaxed, explore the area, and have lots of family around. Tindarra was absolutely perfect. The all-villa accommodation provides a cool and spacious haven during the hot, dry days. They are extremely well kitted out, making staying there a breeze, especially with large and classy bathrooms, quality linen, complete in-villa laundry and plenty of living space, indoor and out. With a supermarket only a couple of minutes down the road, plus top line appliances and full kitchen, it was a pleasure to cook and eat at home.
Equally, eating out was great, as there is a great range of decent eateries in the local area. Rosie and Steve will arrange shuttles to the local clubs (but frankly, they are all walking distance), or if you are planning a fuller night out, the taxi into Echuca is inexpensive. (However, on the local taxis be warned - they are a total nightmare. If you order one, it will come, but it will not wait, or tell you it is there. They just drive off. Unbelievable! And it you complain they tell you it is your fault for not being there at the exact instant they arrive. It wasn't just us. Other families at the resort had similar experiences and Rosie and Steve were pulling their hair out and having to reorder taxis. Echuca-Moama taxis: sort your act out. You are the least helpful and least pleasant taxi service we have experienced anywhere in Australia or New Zealand).
Right, rant aside, back to Tindarra (yes please). I've stayed at some places with amazing pools (Sheraton Maui, Marriott Gold Coast for example) but for a very small resort, Tindarra's pool takes some beating. It's large and pleasantly cool, has a waterfall and waterfall grotto, plus two spa caves. Plus a secret plunge pool. The resort was fully booked when we were there, but the pool never felt crowded. You could - and we did - spend all day there. Some fun pool toys as well.
The rest of the grounds were fun to explore. You could spend time down at the rustic camp kitchen by the river bank. This was a special place, especially watching the paddle steamers chug past. With the extremely dry weather we could not use the fire pit, which was a shame because it looked like a fun place to gather in the evenings. There's also a dam that they are stocking with yabbies to catch, also a basketball hoop, and tons of space to ride bikes or explore.
For us, Echuca-Moama was an unusual place for us to visit and we would have been unlikely to ever go there if it wasn't for family. But we are really pleased we did. It's an interesting area. We loved the markets, the river boats, the old Echuca port and the cafes. What made it, though, was the delightful surprise that was Tindarra. This place was top quality. We need to make special mention of the hosts. They got the mix completely right - helpful, really friendly, but respectful of your privacy. They seem to love their job and it shows in the enthusiastic and personal service. Other places take note (Wananavu in Fiji, for instance) - this is how to make your guests feel welcome and relaxed.

Room Tip: Book early - this place is small and fills up quickly
