“Better then a "Motel"”
Reviewed January 1, 2009

We spent 3 nights in the Bridges and it was really great. I found the vacancy on Wotif and then cross-referenced it with TripAdvisor. It looked the best in Moama so I phoned them and they matched the price of Wotif, and then also gave me a bit of a discount which made it great value. The manager was really friendly and helpful on the phone, and we found it welcoming and family orientated when we arrived. The complex is easy to find and just on the Moama side of the river. It is IMMACULATE from the moment you turn through the gates. We booked a two bed spa appartment and it was absolutely huge. The bedrooms were a great size with a good bathroom - all was spotless. Loads of towels were provided, even a set to use by the pool, and a washer and drier are very cleverly hidden in the lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped (all utensils and cleaning products) and you could easily stay here for a long holiday. The balcony was large with a table and chairs and the spa, all overlooking the garden and bush, so nice and quiet. I would really recommend this as an alternative to staying on the Echuca side, as it is only a short drive or 10 min walk over the bridge and quieter. We had an undercover parking spot under the unit, with a night light that comes on automatically at night which is an example of how they've thought of everything here! Yes, you have to climb a set of stairs to get up, but the view over the garden is easily worth it and it never caused us any trouble. All in all excellent, and I would return here if I came back to Echuca/Moama.

This place is amazing we stayed with alot of other family members from all states of Australia who all stayed within the same accommodation and everyone of us loved the quality of the accommodation they recived. It is one of the cleanest and tidiest places we have stayed at. The owners were friendly and helpful upon arrival (our accommodation was prebooked by family). After a 7 hour drive arriving to a relaxing fresh clean spacious unit was so special the kids loved the pool it was refreshing for them after the long trip, then they were happy to play football on the grassland behind the unit while the adults could sit back and relax on the units private deck overlooking the grass and bbq area watching the children. Cooking a bbq dinner in the clean and tidy bbq area while the children and family chatted nearby at the spacious entertainment area. Having a spa on the deck at night while listening to the possoms play in the trees nearby was very special.
Thankyou for creating a fresh clean accommodation with children.
Congratulations to the staff on the quality of there work.

We stayed for 3 nights at Bridges On Meninya and ended up wishing we had booked longer. The complex is very well set out, and we were in unit 19 which is one of the family suites towards the back of the property.

One word of warning, do not book these back family units if you don't like steps! These back units are all raised and parking is underneath. However if steps don't bother you, you will be very well rewarded!

The unit we stayed in had 2 bedrooms. You enter the unit and find yourself in a long hallway with the master bedroom coming off to the left, which has 'ensuite' access to the bathroom, which is the 2nd door down the hallway. The third door along accesses the smaller 2nd bedroom before the hallway opens out into a very spacious kitchen and living area. The back 'wall' is actually sliding glass doors which looks out onto bushland.

And here was the real treat - outside on this balcony was a large spa bath. The balcony has high railings and solid walls either side so it is completely private and you can sit there with a relaxing drink and gaze into the bushland which eventually leads down to the Murray River.

The unit was very well appointed with quality furnishings and the kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances you need to make your stay fully self-contained.

There is also a washer, dryer and laundry tub tucked neatly behind sliding doors in a section of the living room - it's so well done that we nearly missed them, but they are definitely there!!

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend Bridges On Meninya to anyone looking to stay in Moama.
