This place certainly rivals any of the restaurants in the more touristy Vineyard region in terms of food quality (and surpasses many of them in fact). It also matches them in price.
The Saturday night we went in a party of 8, the restaurant was full, a good sign! We were well looked after by attentive but not obtrusive staff. A few staff mistakes with the orders and a little slow at times but these are minor quibbles in what was otherwise a night of exceptional dining. All the dishes are immaculately presented and the menu is diverse and interesting. The portions are also exceedingly generous, especially with the desserts!
The wine list is very good (not too dauntingly big) with local Hunter wines well represented, but what is most evident is that the prices are very reasonable, which is unusual for a wine list at a good restaurant! Hats off to that!
My wife and I will be returning on our own at some point and we highly recommend you give it a go as well.
