Stayed at this motel for one night travelling from Qld to home in NSW. Motel has neat appearance & although on a main street in Grafton, it is not the highway so greatly reduced traffic noise. Room was quite spacious but fitted with small TV. Room & bathroom nice & clean.
Arriving about 8pm, receptionist rang local club to ascertain whether we could still get a meal. That was appreciated.
However parking at the motel is a problem. No room allocated spots & we were advised to park anywhere in the courtyard. But as all the spots adjacent to our room were taken, we had to unloaded our suitcase & park at the other end of the courtyard.
Another downside is the shower. One of the worst flow rates I have encountered. Whilst I don't believe in wasting water with long showers, the flow rate was so minimal, I spent twice as long in the shower as normal, just to rinse myself. It is false economy when the flow rate is reduced to the minimum, plus the customer ends up dissatisfied. Also no extras such as shampoo/conditioner, hand towel, face washer provided, just 2 small cakes of soap.
Not an expensive motel but could be greatly improved with a few minor adjustments.More
