Their New king room were superb & well worth the few extra dollars. This was one of the best on our 12 day outback trip. Room were very large, clean & v comfortable. Theses room were well away from the main complex so there was no noise to be heard at all. Breakfast wasn't the best unfortunately, especially the cooked part but hey you don't choose accommodation based on breakfast. The facilities ie pools were good & a nice way to relax after days outback. Will stay again

Room Tip: go the king room as it is quieter & spacious

Booked in one night stay for a trip to Dubbo Zoo. Clean, modern was ok. The shower was the best bit about the stay.

Stayed in many top hotels/motels around the world and this certainly wasnt up to the standards of a 4.5 star rated property, 3 at best.

The breakfast started out really good until I found a blonde hair wrapped around a piece of bacon. When the cook came out replenishing the foods on the buffet she was not wearing a hair net and she had blonde hair. I made a HUGE mistake and did not complain about it at the time ( with kids and didnt want the consternation this would bring about).

The price was quite expensive for what the motel offered, but thinking I was getting 4.5 star accomodation was willing to pay - silly me in Dubbo not Las Vegas!!!

Certain staff wasnt exactly friendly, quite curt and rude, others were fine. If your looking for a 4.5 star rated motel DONT STAY HERE.

Other than the zoo trip was great.

big clean rooms, buffet breakfast has plenty to eat. If visiting Dubbo with families the motel also has appartments that are worth exploring.

Room Tip: appartments a good options for families

I stayed here for business. The room was quite pleasant and modern. A colleague who used to stay somewhere else and stayed at this hotel liked it better too.
The restaurant was quite packed and food was great. The only complain was the food took a while to arrive. Probably more than 40 minutes for the mains that it was quite late when we finished. Other than that it was a good stay.

We stayed in a new 2 bedroom apartment, which was very spacious, we were attracted to this option as it was handy having a separate room for our son. We got a good rate and was excellent value.
Only real complaint was the bed sheets were crunchy and uncomfortable!
Whilst the breakfast is v good value, we would have liked to have seen some basic pastries such as croissants for the 'continental'.
Absolutely lovely staff, and very clean, spacious, modern apartment. Great stay, aside from the bed sheets!

We stayed one night while going to visit the Zoo. We opted for the King Superior room which is one of the newly refubished rooms which cost $165 on a Saturday night. The room was modern and well furnished. It had a flat screen TV and nicely appointed bathroom. It was quite dark in the room due to black blinds and windows only on the balcony. Our room was the closest to the highway, yet suprisingly, we werent affected by the noise. The balcony over looks the car park and other balconies so does not allow for privacy, but does allow for a smoke for those inclined to do so. We had breakfast there. From the other reviews, I was expecting cereals and toast with fruit. I was therefore very pleased on arrival to see bacon, eggs, baked beans, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, juices, breads. I could not fault the breakfast at all. For the money, I have stayed in better hotels and I have stayed in far worse hotels. I was happy with the cleaniness and the moderness of the room. I wouldnt say it was good value for money, or poor. I'd say it was worth the money we paid. We didnt eat dinner there, so I cant comment on the restaurant. My only criticism would be 1. Our waste bin still had rubbish left in it from the previous guest. I think this would have been a simple oversight by the cleaners as the rest of the room was immaculate upon inspection. The other criticism was that the remote for the air con did not work (I assume it was flat batteries.) Its a short drive to the Zoo and we walked into town within about 10 minutes. There was also a gym but I didnt use it. Given this place certainly had mixed reviews, I think this may due to those that stay in the modern rooms and those that stay in the original rooms. I think the modern room I stayed in was pleasant and the price suited the room.

Thanks for the lovely room review. Please if you are ever staying at a motel and are unable to work something ....your not alone....call reception instead of letting us know by way of review days later. Nearly everything can be fixed or replaced!!! As for the breakfast at $16.50 for an all you can eat buffet in a beautiful restaurant setting .........how could anyone complain !!

Made the booking based on the 4.5 star rating.

Room was a queen superior and although was clean, it was not worthy of 4.5 star rating.

With regard to breakfast, presentation and cereal choice could be improved.

Thank you for your review. Our Queen Superior Rooms when being Star Rated impressed the AAA Tourism reviewer so much so that the Australian Manager flew up from Melbourne to see them specially. Its always good to get customers views though, but it would be good to know where we did not meet your expectations . In regards to breakfast we have a vast choice and the best part is its an all you can eat hot and cold buffet at a maximum price of $16.50 for an adult and $7.50 per child. The price has not changed in 4 years.
