We stayed in a cabin in between Christmas and New Year. The cabin had airconditioning which was great in the hot weather. Great playground and jumping pillow for the kids. They had a ball. Close to restaurants, supermarket and zoo. Overall a great stay.

We stayed in an ensuite powered caravan site. Ensuites are drive thru sites which makes life very easy. Ensuite was well appointed and was quite as they are down the very back of the park away from the road. Good bbq area and playground. Close to supermarket, zoo and RFDS. Everything we were wanting. Friendly helpful staff. Park backs onto the river. Reasonably priced. We would stay here again

We occupied a powered site with our own van and travelled with a friend who had a studio cabin. The powered site was a generous size with easy access. The bathrooms were in good nick and kept pretty clean. It was school holidays so they were getting a lot of use! The camp kitchen was small but quite well equipped with good BBQs and washing up facilities. The park is a 20 minute walk to town and backs onto the river. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

The only negative was the traffic noise because the park is located on a busy road. You get used to it quite quickly and we were not kept awake.

Our friend stayed in a studio cabin and enjoyed the air conditioning, the compact kitchen and clean bathroom, as well as the comfortable bed. She complained about the traffic noise because her cabin backed onto the road. There are some nice looking larger cabins that face the river which would be a lot quieter.

Room Tip: Ask for a site or cabin close to the river and further away from the road.

Right from the first phone call, I knew we had chosen the right place to stay. The staff we so accommodating & friendly right from the beginning, even after explaining we had a race car & needed somewhere to park it.
On arrival, the same friendliness was there. The cabin we stayed in was clean & the beds comfortable. The kids had a ball on the jumping pillow & playing on the half basketball court, then having a swim, it kept them happy for ages. It gave us all time to relax as a family.
We even had a couple of friends come & stay unexpectedly & that wasn't a problem.
The park is central to everything & within walking distance of good dine-in or takeaway food & if need be urgent groceries. It even has a cabin with fencing so you can bring your dog along.
I could keep going on about Dubbo City Holiday Park but the best way is to find out yourself...we did & were so impressed we have just made another booking for Easter 2014.

Room Tip: The premium cabin along the walking track at the back are private & plenty of parking

We arrived in Dubbo on a Saturday and had not thought to book. This was the only place lady that had a self contained cabin and plenty of space for our three year old that had just spent three days in a car to run. On check in we were repeatedly warned that the cabin was budget and due for refurbishment so I was not looking forward to opening the door. The cabin was old and budget but it was clean, the bed very comfortable and had everything we needed. The service was great and we were offered an upgrade to a deluxe cabin when one became available but were happy to stay where we were. Our son loved the park, pillow and pool. The only thing I would suggest is they spend some time pulling burrs from grass as you cannot run or walk barefoot. Would I recommend this place or stay again, absolutely.
