“Pleasant but not stunning”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2013

After reading other diners reviews decided to give Red Earth a try as a new-to-Dubbo resident. No problem getting a table without a booking and the waitress was friendly and welcoming. The service was slow (but not really an issue for us) and a drink order forgotten - amends made by providing drinks complimentary. Small but balanced menu. Our salmon was perfectly cooked but the dish was quite plain and could have used a little sauce of some sort. The chocolate crème brulee tasted quite nice but lacked the crispy, crunchy classic topping. It was however, served with an excellent shortbread and vanilla ice-cream. Pleased to see local wines (Orange) on the wine list. The piano player was absent due to an external engagement. Will try again but not rushing back.

“Very pleasant afternoon at Red Earth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

We spent a couple of hours at Red Earth waiting to get into Dubbo Open Plains Zoo Roar and Snore event. The weather was excellent, the setting, service and wine all very good.

“We had avery nice experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

We are Dubbo locals and enjoy dining out when we can get away from our own business.
Tried Red Earth and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and quality of the dishes we chose. Service was friendly and efficient and the background piano music was pleasant.
A step above the average motel restaurant.
As a past restauranteur we were not offended by the pricing as we know what behind the scenes costs are involved in running a business today.
Well worth a try .

“Overrated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

The food was over prices. The entree was $9 for one piece of bread and some unripe tomato.
My pork with port sause was good but the apple was not cooked enough and the side of vegetables showed no signs of love.
