Description: A dream to bake quality products for Dubbo residents started with a bag of flour in 1918 when Bill, Robert and John Stevenson’s grandfather Francis Oswald ‘Aussie’ Stevenson started a small bakery in Tooraweenah. One Hundred years later the Stevenson family remains an iconic part of the baking industry in central west NSW and continues to offer its customers more variety and choice of freshly baked local products, Today, Village Bakery Café stands as an industry and local business leader, dedicated to our staff, our customers and most of all our local community.

Plenty of choice for food here - not just breads and pies but also plenty of cakes and slices and, if you want a "healthy" lunch, baguettes and rolls etc with cold meats and salads. Only disappointment for us was that they'd run out of the pies we wanted at just 1130hrs - bit early we thought.

This bakery only gets bigger and better every year. It has won numerous awards, all well deserved. A huge selection of sambos, french loaves, pies, cakes, bread etc etc. Great service with 2 inside and 1 outside eating area. The coffee is always good, they must have a real barista. We have been going there for 10 years only to see it improve each visit.

The best bakery we have ever seen by far.

Ok coffee and traditional country baked goods. A good stop for breakfast. No friands but lots of meringue and apple turnovers. Staff attentive.
