Lots of choices (unless you're a vegetarian of course but we're used to that!). food was tasty and fresh, restaurant clean and service friendly and efficient.

“Good size meal but very pricy”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

1st thing to remember is that men/boys must wear shirts with sleeves.

For a club in NSW, we had expected the meals to be alot cheaper than they were. It cost us just over $80 for 3 lots of fish and chips, a fetticunie marinara and a chicken schnitzel. That didn't include drinks, which were definately on the cheaper side:)

The size of the meals were good and fairly quick with the service. However, when my husband received his fettucini marinara it was cold. He advised the staff and then they told hime he would be cooked a new one. This didn't take too long and was much better.

There was quite alot of the menu choices sitting in a bai marie (which looked dry) So we tried to order items that we thought would have to be cooked fresh in the kitchen. Perhaps they had other menu items out the back that were ready to go and thats why we got cold and fairly raw vegetables.

The following night we ordered 5 family pizzaz from Dominos for just under $50. It was hot and fresh!!!!

“Great location - poor food”
Reviewed March 10, 2012

We were recommended to eat at this restaurant because it catered for children - it started of ok when we entered but thats where it stopped. The staff were unhelpful, the tables were dirty and the glasses for our drinks had lipstick stains and were dirty and had not been cleaned.
The 4 meals we ordered for us we served at different times (what appeared to be 10 minutes), the food was not fresh and had been sitting in the warmer for who knows how long and my daughters nanchos were burnt. We raised the issues with the staff but nothing came out of it - we filled out a critique and requested to be contacted - 4 weeks later we are still waiting.
We are aware of a lot of people that travel through Dubbo to either visit the zoo or travel through to Queensland - this venue will NOT be advised to anyone

“Great food and atmosphire”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

We over to the zoo with the kids and decided to go the the Bowling Club for dinner. Had the steak, yum melt in your mouth and the kids meals were huge... Service was friendly and place was clean. Deserts well, had a menu on the table and made you want to leave room for, but when going to order they didn't have what was on the menu only the cakes in the front fridge, oh well didn't need it any way. Would recommend this club for a good feed...

“Our Eating Place”
Reviewed February 18, 2012

We stayed at the Abel Tasman and because they didn't have a restaurant we were happy to walk across the road to the Bowling Club each night for our dinner. The meals were very good and reasonably priced. The bistro was large, modern and the staff were extremely friendly.
