I stayed here on 25th of July. Free wireless Internet, great flatscreen tv with free foxtel, super clean, quiet (off main road), big enough room, good bed, lovely family who run the place. Awesome value- I would stay here again. Thanks Melissa and family :)

We booked the Atlas on the basis of some glowing reviews and a high overall rating however we were disappointed. The Atlas is an older motel that is reasonably maintained. We booked online which ended up costing more as various discounts such as auto club and seniors were not available. At check in we asked for a second key but there wasn't a spare available for our room. We were advised that keys had not been returned which did not give us any confidence about room security. We were offered an alternative room and two keys although one was nearly broken off and if it had snapped off in the lock I have no idea how we would have got in to the room.

The room was simple and everything appeared to be clean and in good condition however on inspection of the toilet we realised that it had not been cleaned properly in some time as there was a brown ring in the toilet bowl. The bathroom was compact and the shower good, however water leaked out of the shower to the floorspace in front of the vanity, so the floor towel ended up soaked which was not a good feeling stepping out of the shower. The bed was comfortable but sleep was disrupted by a number of things. The airconditioning unit would cut in and out during the night, but had a rattle that sounded like a WW1 aircraft engaged in a dogfight so we turned it off. The walls aren't particularly soundproof so there was noise from neighbouring units, particularly early in the morning as people were getting ready to depart. As vehicle parking is directly in front of the units there was also the sounds of cases being loaded, trunks and doors slammed, and conversations between people in units and at the vehicles.

There was 70mb of free wireless broadband available by obtaining login details from the front office, where the staff were friendly and helpfull.

Overall, this is an older style motel which falls short of modern standards, It is hard to gauge it's position in the market because Dubbo appears to have an abundance of motels of similar design and vintage. I would certainly look for something newer and there appears to be better value in some of the newer offerings.

The Atlas is a great motel, favoured by business travellers and I have been staying here on and off for over then years. The motel is in a quiet back street location - a very important feature in Dubbo. Rooms are comfortable and facilities are very good. The motel is also very reasonably priced. It is wise to book ahead as the place is generally full.

It's the first time my family and I have stayed in an Inn. I was just hoping that it won't be a disaster with 3 young children at ages 11, 8 and 2. We can only hope for the best. The management were very accommodating from the time we arrived and our room ( family room consisted of 2 single beds, a pull- out sofa bed and a queen size) was ready for us in time for an early check- in. The room facilities was basic but we had everything we needed. There is a common laundry people can use and a swimming pool in the compound. There is no playground but the area is surrounded by parks. They were very attentive to our request and delivered without any questions. There was no breakfast included in the price but nearby eateries are nearby. Approximately 10 mins drive to Dubbo observatory and about the same to Dubbo Zoo. Less than 5 mins to city centre. I can recommend this motel to any families who is looking for a reasonable price that can accommodate a family of the same number or a group of with the same number.

My family of 5 stayed a couple of nights in this serviceable and clean establishment near the centre of Dubbo. The pool was still cool after a long day at the Zoo, the rooms were clean, the beds comfy and the air con cool. A decent TV in the room. A good stopover destination.

A good value motel located in an area of many motels. Location is just of the main roads so no road noise at night. Rooms are average size and very clean. For a couple of days stop over hotel, we will be back.
