No 95 Accommodation
Ranked #25 of 30 Hotels in Dubbo
Reviewed October 6, 2011

Accommodation in Regional NSW can be a real mixed bag, but the De Russie No 95 in Dubbo is a real diamond in the rough. An older style motel which has been excellently refurbished with stylish, modern furnishings. A huge king size bed, modern bathroom, and immaculately clean. The staff offer warm, friendly, welcoming hospitality. I will definitely be back.

We checked into No 95 after a day at the Zoo!

The room was nice however there was a few things we did pick up on. The toilet paper roll was half used, the bed sheets were untucked on one side, the glasses were dirty, the curtains did not open at all so it was dull light in the hotel room and also something at leaked all over the items in the mini bar and there was brown liquid every where.

We walked down the street to the SSS Steak House for dinner which was nice food but quite expensive. Not much is open in Dubbo on a Sunday night including the hotel restaurant.

We paid an extra $5 and got a complimentary breakfast which we thought was great. We weren't able to have hot breakfast as there was no chef on duty which was quite strange considering it was a Monday morning however the continental breakfast was worth it.

All in all, it wasn't that bad of hotel but don't expect much more then a comfy bed to sleep in and a nice man who owns the place.

I have stayed several times here for work, and have always found No 95 to be a good comfortable place to stay. The staff have always been friendly, and I have appreciated the inclusion of continental breakfast when I have been checking out late enough to take advantage of it. A comfortable motel.

We checked in the second night of our trip to Dubbo and this is a great motel. In fact, it was more like a hotel to us judging from the way the design of the room, the cleanliness of the bathroom, the bed, the reclining chare.. All was just perfect. The owner greeted me with a smile and very friendly, advising me that the restaurant wouldn't be available for dinner that night due to Easter Break however suggested me quite a few good ones around the area. Unlike the reception at Comfort Inn Blue Lagoon where we stayed the first night who's very ignorant and if I could say...discriminating. Anyway this is a very lovely motel, and I really didn't expect this as we would have stayed at Comfort Inn both nights had it not been booked out on the Saturday.. And boy were we glad we did stay at No 95..thanks so much for a good night sleep, good breakfast and good memories.

It is advertised as a boutique hotel but we found it to be very ordinary and motel-like. There was a hole in the back of the door as though it had been kicked at some point, the deadlock didn't work and the bathroom was very plain, not at all "boutiquey". Credit where it's due however, the king size bed was the reason we chose this hotel and it was indeed VERY comfortable. (Why are there so few places with king beds available?)

The included "continental breakfast" was extremely disappointing. How can you offer a free breakfast and then try to charge $3.50 for a coffee? The waiter did his surly best to avoid eye contact with the customers eating breakfast and was clearly not enjoying his job.

Stayed here on business as I have done a couple of times in the past. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed and are quite quiet as they are at the rear of the hotel.
The location is good, being not too far to walk to the centre of Dubbo, and also fairly close to some good restaurants.
Having said that there really is no need to dine out as the Restaurant is well equipped and room service is prompt, polite and delicious.
The only suggestion that I would make is an upgrade of the TV's, the little CRT mons are a bit dated now.

Stayed for two nights. The room was nice and clean (don't expect any views) however the plumbing in the shower needs to be improved. During my shower the water went completely hot, I jumped out and then without touching anything it went completely cold, and then minutes later hot again. The slightest turn of the water nobs would make an enormous change in the water temperature - making it very easy to misjudge it and burn yourself.

On the upside the breakfast was good.
