We stayed at Dubbo Parklands in June one family road trip. My husband, daughter and I stayed in a Serengeti tent for the novelty. It was awesome but I would recommend that if you were going to do it, don't do it in winter. There was heating but it was still pretty cold. Not sure that I would do it in the heat of summer either as there is no aircon. My inlaws however stayed in a delux cabin. Delux it was not. Yes it was clean and neat but the bathroom was tiny and it was over priced. I don't agree with complaining about the trucks on the highway though, if you book accommodation on a major highway you have to expect it.
