“Well worth a visit”

Great exhibition, and interesting guided tour and talk by staff/volunteers at the base. Well worth going just to see the planes in the hangar. A very interesting place which reminds you just what a great job they do.

“Absolute must see!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

How can you come to Broken Hill and not visit the Flying Doctors! The museum is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The best thing about it is that it is a working base so you get to see the control room and all the staff hard at work taking calls and springing into action. Apart from anything it also brings home the hard work they do and the vital support they give spread across a huge geographical area in all sorts of difficult terrain. They do a fantastic job and it is well eorth going to support them.

“Amazing experience at an amazing organization”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

As a fan of the old TV show, the Flying Doctors, the first thing that greets us as we make our way to the base is the old Nomad planse, MSF or Mike Sierra Foxtrot. This immediately set the tone for me:)There were 3 of us in our group. When we got to the centre, we were greeted by a very friendly volunteer who immediately put on the video for us. She then took us on a comprehensive tour of the base and was very knowledgable about the service. Seeing the planes and realizing the size of country that they cover really gives an appreciation of just how vital and valued this service is. If in the Broken Hill area, this has got to be on your list of things to do. You won't regret it. And every cent you spend goes into sustaining this lifeline of the outback.
