“Tasty and fresh”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

I have never eaten Lebanese before .. Expected it to be heavy but it was fresh and tasty. A tasting plate would have been the perfect introduction as the mains are a huge serve leaving not much room to fit any of the other tasty dips.

“Simple, beautiful Lebanese”
Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Strapped for cash? Have the Donner Kebab. A little more to spend? Lay your ears back! The shish is fresh and redolent of real charcoal. The pickles are obviously home made. Fresh and bitey. Get this as a side to the magic mountain of meat. Pile high with the excellent hommous and said pickles and enjoy the blend of crunch and spice.

“Not bad but not great ...”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

We ordered takeaway only. The menu seems rather limited but most of the old favourites are there. The guy serving us was friendly and helpful and the time frame for the preparation was pretty good. The food was tasty - the Shish Kebab was really tender and delicious, with the lamb cooked medium as we'd requested. The grilled chicken was bland and slightly dry. The hummus was extremely salty and we found this to be a problem with much of the food, though we acknowledge that olives and fetta cheese are naturally salty ingredients. The tabbouleh was appealing in that it was quite chunky but it also was very 'wet', with large quantities of liquid pooling in the bottom of the container. Falafel, kebbeh and the meat pastries were excellent for starters. It's far from the best Lebanese we've eaten but it was passable; the value wasn't great.

This is Lebanese food made by Lebanese. Always delicious always good... We always make our visiting plans to Bathurst around the opening hours of the restaurant. Really worth the try.

“The Real Deal”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Want to eat authentic Lebanese food & short of money? Then visit Maaloufs, as it's about as real as it gets with no air travel involved! There is a vast menu to choose from, & I'm afraid I can't pick a favourite, everything is. Maaloufs moved a few years ago, from a small restaurant to a much larger one to be able to cater to the growing appeal of their food. You can also have takeaway which we mainly do. Lastly, lets not forget their delicious sweets, again authentic.
