Mum & I stayed for 2 nights in early January. We booked at the last minute online and The Chalet was one of only a few options in the Batemans Bay area that was available for our preferred dates. We were very pleased to discover this little gem as it was the perfect spot to get away for a few days R & R. We felt we received good value for money for our room (Deluxe Balcony Room with Sea Views) and continental breakfast. Mum enjoyed the heated pool whilst I enjoyed time reading out on the balcony enjoying the bush & sea views.

The owners are very welcoming and gave a personal tour of the Chalet (you don't get this with a chain hotel/motel). Thanks Elizabeth & Herbert for a very relaxing stay.

Room Tip: Book a balcony room with sea views - lovely spot to sit & read a book or enjoy a coffee.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. Elizabeth and Herbert provided great service and useful information. Great facilities, especially enjoyed the archery, tennis and spa!
The room was basic but cosy with a great view.
Strongly recommended for those seeking a peaceful getaway on the south coast as it is a great location, with lots to see and do.
Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms worth the extra charge.

Dear Nathan,

Thank you for your kind review. Glad you enjoyed our facilities and it's a pity you did not have enough time for a pamper treatment - maybe at your next visit.

Kind regards, Elizabeth

We spent 5 nights in cabin. Cabin small (three teenagers in the bunk beds stretched room to its limits) but clean. Very basic cooking facilities - perhaps an electric fry pan would be a benefit. Surrounds were great. The closeness to the forest and the sea made for a pleasant time. Despite extremely hot days, there was always a breeze to keep things bearable. We made full use of the recreational facilities - tennis, table tennis, archery and the pool - all in good condition. (We took all our own equipment but needn't have worried - plenty of everything). Bushwalk was well worth it - best early morning or approaching dusk. We got out each day - mainly to the various beaches - South Broulee the pick! Cabin is not suited to lazing around as no lounge but this was not a problem for us. Hubert was most welcoming and more than happy to advise of possible excursions. Only confusion was over breakfast - we came under the impression that breakfast was included - only if you stay in Chalet. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time - but don't go expecting luxury in the cabins - the price for five of us was reflective of what we got.

Room Tip: If in Chalet make sure you get a balcony room - the views are stunning!

This is such a lovely place to stay. The pool is fun, the facilities are A plus and well it's just so lovely. The people look after you and they have massages and more. We have stayed there 3 times and will again. Also the food is delicious. It isn't expensive and the rooms are perfect.

Spent four nights here in a family cabin which was enough room for the three of us - would have found it too small with more little ones in tow ! Enjoyed the pool, archery and tennis facilities, the bush walk and ferns were worth the walk just not too fussed on a few big trees which have fallen on the tracks ! Great location and loved the quietness but felt the retreat needed some overall TLC
