A very nice part of the world. Easy to get to where you want to go with a very scenic drive. Plenty of convenient stops along the way in some very picturesque settings.
Not a lot of traffic to contend with as opposed to the highway.

Countryside in Autumn beautiful. Do not forget to visit the surrounding parks. And if the ladies are out selling their apple pies by the side of the road - GRAB THEM. Fantastic.

Did Coffs... to Bellingen. Nice to look at but not for long. Thought we would push on to Dorrigo. A poor tired motel at top of rise. Pushed on to NE Higway and had the misfortune of staying at the Shiralee Motel in Uralla.

Road condition is poor, steel , winding and narrow especially relevant if you get behind a slow mover like a caravan as there are few if anny passing places

Having driven the Waterfall way about 20 years ago in 1/2 day, I had always wanted to do it again but take about 3 or 4 days this time. The waterfalls are fantastic, and walking in the National Parks nearby are a wonderful way to relax and unwind. I think the prettiest falls were the Crystal Showers Falls in Dorrigo National Park. They are not all that big, and take about 25mins to walk to them, but if you see them in the mornings sunlight they just look like crystals falling !!!

Typical winding mountain road, but with more scenic variety than most. A stop at Dorrigo is a must.

Bellingen markets were also a delight. Get off the boring Pacific Highway, and take the extra time to explore.
