Stayed at The Commodore on Wednesday 18th September for $139. The check in was great, the check in lady was delightful, full of humour and keen to please. Brought me out onto the street pointing out the places to go for entertainment and eating. Although it was the first time I stayed there, no credit card or registration details were required, dead simple.

Our room was twin share and very well appointed, I'm giving it four stars but in reality it was about three stars if you compare it to the city but solidly above average for country NSW.
The beds were comfortable and I had a great sleep.

Breakfast was also good at the restaurant and individual items were charged for such as cereal and juice which makes it expensive, the restaurant was clean and service was with a smile.

There was a charge for internet connection and there was no shampoo in our room, I would Stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask reception if you require any information, they are very helpful, they like doing their job

Terrible rooms and terrible set up, what a dump , never again i actually complained about the place to my company who put us in there, I felt like I was in a horror movie, they need a secure gate and to completely renovate the whole place or at least knock it down , noisy and the biggest dump in Albury!!!! Don't bother !

Previous stays at this motel have been satisfactory,but our last stay was an unsatisfactory experience for the following reasons:
1.At $125-price excessive;
2.Air conditioner did not work-potentially dangerous electric heater supplied;
3.TV remote did not function;
4.Bathroom door did not close properly;
5.No biscuits supplied ;
6.Stairs potentially dangerous because of poor design.
We have used this motel before because of its locality.However it is now "showing its age" and lack of maintenance.

Staff friendly and very central. Clean room and tasty breakfast. No grumbles. This is a regular Aussie motel, nothing particularly special about it, but comfortable enough for an overnight stop. we didn't have a problem with road noise, and the motel was handy for the Commercial Club (just behind), which serves perfectly acceptable food at a great price.

We just stopped here for 1 night on our way to Melbourne. We chose the motel because of the name, we drive a commodore! Happy with the room, very clean and comfortable, reasonable price compared to others in town. The lady at the desk is very friendly. A little noisy but all in all a great place for a stopover. 4 stars from me!

Subject: Commodore Motel Albury- Golden Chain

Dear Customer Care,

We have been pleased with your service and the Golden Chain Hotel/Motel group until we stayed at: “ THE MOTEL FROM HELL”.

Unfortunately the title we have given to the Commodore Motel, you sign off as a “3 and a half stars motel”??????

We stayed there overnight in a Standard Queen Room on the 20th June 2012.

These were the problems we encountered.

1. No net curtain on the window, ( So the room remained in darkness with blinds drawn in daytime).

2. No Hand towels available, fresh supplies collected at reception.

3. No new toilet rolls, old almost finished one remained in situ.

4. No clean water glasses , only two dirty blue plastic goblets available.

5. No wine glasses, only small beer glasses available.

6. Mold behind bathroom sink with the cold tap hammering when used.

7. Mold in the tiny dirty shower.

8. Dirty bathroom floor with no exhaust fan available.

9. Toaster available with no plates or knives available.

We await your comments,

Yours sincerely, David & Sheila Harwood.

Many aspects of this motel were OK but it was a very noisy experience. We had asked for a quiet room and were given a room at the back upstairs which was 'generally quieter', I suggested double glazing and a front door that was more solid to keep the noise out which came from the courtyard sytle parking area and people (?drunks) rolling home at all hours and the sounds from people packing and leaving early..
It is centrally located and that suited our purposes well.

Thank you for staying with our Motel recently.
I was very sorry to hear you were disturbed by guests arriving in late.

Unfortunately noise issues are a little beyond our control from Wedding guests returning home, and is a problem with all hotels. Our onsite Manager did respond to the noise issue in question and acted as quickly as possible to minimise the noise to our guests.

We do take your concerns on board and as our upgrading and re-furbishments are on going, your concerns will be addressed.

Thank you for your feedback, and we hope this hasn't deterred you from staying with us in the future.

Best Regards,
Fred Burnett,
Manager
