The seal colony can be seen from the walkway but please do not just go as far at the seal lookout and turn back to the carpark because you'll be missing out on a fabulous scenic little walk..... The Cape Foulwind Walkway can be accessed in either direction as there's a carpark and toilets at both ends of the walkway. The walk itself is a very easy stroll and you should allow yourself a good couple of hours to walk it in both directions.

Really enjoyed seeing the seals in their natural habitat rather than a zoo.. Its a short journey from Westport and worth the trip

Excellent graded track, fantastic views, seal lookouts, places in the grass for picnics. A strong person could push a wheelchair up the track. For more picnic spots and viewpoints you can carry on past the seals. There might even be a weka or two to feed at beginning of track.

this is an awesome gentle walk up to the seals, if you want you can keep strolling along the magnificent pathway. It is no cost and a great walk, just along the bay a cafe you can sit at and continue to enjoy the magnificent scenery

A beautiful walk, great views all the way, there is always seals there, sometimes you have to look really hard because they blend in with the rocks.Great beach wals at Capefoulwind end and taraunga bay end.Good accommodation at both ends and The Star Tavern and Bayhouse Resturants.
