Each section of the restaurant was decorated differently with artistically touch. the food was very good ....we had Titi ( sea bird), crispy Baked with a natural salty taste for appetizer, the smell was similar to mackerel. A dish to recommend. Also, the slow cooked pork belly was so special as well. New Zealand Ribeye was beyond commented! Compliment to the chef!

Certainly up there with some of the best places I've eaten, and way beyond what I would have expected in such an out-of-the-way (albeit gorgeous) part of the world. Very nice staff, and surprisingly good wine list (according to my Kiwi cousin). Eat there if you can.

Atmosphere is very cosy and service is friendly and correct.
You get served decent food for not the cheapest price, but worth the location and the quality.
I hope we can return one day...

This was quite a funny experience. Redcliff has a lovely atmosphere but strange menu and the staff are clearly proud of it. We have eaten all over the world and will happily eat anything but still found a couple of things here odd. We ate a dish made of mutton bird - it was not pleasant. It had a strong fishy flavour, was fatty, not nice texture, and we could understand why only old sailors resorted to it when desperate. Then we tried the deconstructed crumble and this was laughable: muesli basically. The staff were knowledgable and friendly, if a bit defensive when we asked about the curious menu. Teanu is a stunning spot and has a fabulous authentic Chinese restaurant we much prefered to Redcliff, even though not nearly so posh.

A little haven in a very quiet town. Excellent food and service. This restaurant is frequented by tourists and locals alike.
