I can't comment on what is "authentic" Chinese food, but can say that we had a satisfying meal. There was a small list of "New Zealand" specials and we ordered the venison with black pepper sauce, which was delicious. My choice of seafood soup was a mistake, as I couldn't quite identify what was in it (squid?) and found the flavor more fishy than I like. Pleasant space and staff, and a steady stream of customers. Ample portions meant leftovers.
