Lovely and spotlessly clean rooms. We stayed in their largest which has a spa bathtub, but all the rooms are beautiful with wonderful views across the lake. Charming hosts with great local knowledge. We recommend Dunluce without reservation to anyone coming to Te Anau.

We thoroughly enjoyed the short time we spent at Dunluce. The room was beautiful with amazing views and Wendy and Roger are friendly hosts. We were only with them for one night (we both wished we'd had the chance to stay longer) and enjoyed the excellent breakfast prepared by Wendy and Roger's excellent advice about where to stop off on our drive to Milford Sound. Dunluce is top of our list of places to stay on our next trip to New Zealand!

...thats what you will say when you draw open the curtains next morning. A 'wow' expansive uninterrupted view across the lake and the mountain range and if you are lucky a rainbow or a double.
Clean fully functional modern property/hotel style room. Brekkie is in a common room with other guests where stories and advice is exchanged. The hosts adding in the knowledgeable touches. Continental or cooked breakfast both excellent ways to start the day (to Milford Sound). Easy access to the Milford highway and into town.. Dunluce is on the edge of town. Many restaurants in town. Roger and Wendy know how to run a BnB and it shows in the nice touches and the little extras including a cordial atmosphere. But if there is a drawback it would be morning drink.. I rise early (5:30) and like to start the day with a coffee in the room; I could have sat outside in the forecourt of the room. No beverage options in the room. I sure was not going looking for it elsewhere when the house was asleep. The first place in NZ we did not have to climb a mountain to get anywhere - lol.

Room Tip: Ask Wendy for some of her anzac cookies and Roger to show you the car he is restoring.

Wendy and Roger have designed and created a perfect home from home. We are a discerning (not to say fussy) pair of travellers and we were 100% delighted by every detail. Wendy has an exacting eye - everything is spick and span; each element carefully thought-through. And yet she and Roger maintain an easy, welcoming warmth and joyful countenance. Nothing is too much trouble; advice is freely available; every comfort is imagined and provided for. We had the end room with a spa bath - magnificent after a long day's driving! And breakfast is as near perfect an experience as we have ever enjoyed anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand. Don't hesitate - book and stay. Oh, yes, did I mention the superb views? Yes, those too.

Room Tip: Room with the spa bath is a worthwhile additional investment, but all rooms are equipped to the same...

We had a great stay at Dunluce B&B! We have often found that it can be difficult to find very clean, nice places to stay near national parks, and we are so glad we found Dunluce. The owners were very friendly, provided a great dinner recommendation, and worked to make sure we had a great stay. The rooms looked quite new, were very clean, and had a great view out the sliding glass door. There was also a separate entrance that allowed us to easily enter/exit the guest area (we often stay in hotels so we really liked this!). There was a common area that had homemade cookies, tea/coffee, and water/juices available at any time. We enjoyed relaxing there after dinner. Finally, we really enjoyed the great breakfast!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dunluce and would definitely highly recommend it to family and frien
