The Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park is in a great locations as it is only about a 10 minute walk from the town. you can also walk along the shore of the lake if you want a short stroll or they can advise you on longer treks.
we stayed in one of the brand new Marakura Family Roomsand it was superb. The view from the panoramic living rooms windows on to the lake, changed by the hour. The rooms are well presented and clean. we think were were the first to use the cooker! The kitchen has everything you need, but is a bit compact & bijou and too many cooks get in one anothers way!
We loved the Lakeview, the staff were extremely helpful, they arranged our trips for us before we arrived, which maximised the things were could see/do in the short time we were with them. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Room Tip: The Marakura Rooms are just lovely. They have amazing views, are well equipped and modern. You can...

We stayed an extra night as we felt very comfortable here. Everything is modern and clean, the kitchen area is well equipped and above all, the price is very reasonable when compared to many of the parks around NZ.

Travelled around newzealand for 4 months this winter with my 4 yearold daughter. Stayed at caravan parks everynight, this by far was our favorite. Perfect location, beautiful views from dining and lounge area, short stroll to town, fun feeding the ducks in the gorgeous lake across the road, no curfew on kitchen and loungeroom, super clean facilities, all the facilities are heated 24/7 so nice and warm. Best park for kids, they have a private big bathroom for families, big bath, nice shower provide you with towels, soaps better than my bathroom at home! My daughter got a tummy bug during our stay and in a tiny van vomiting everynight you can imagine the mess, the cleaning ladies actually cleaned all our bedding everyday in their big cleaners at no cost to me, it was such a big help. The staff were so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Also the cost it was only $17 a night for the two of us one of the cheapest we have stayed at. Perfect...

Stayed in a Luxmore Standard Room. Sleeps up to four, if i want to be a bit harsh i would say the room is a bit small for 4 people but it is very clean. Plenty of showers that are modern and very clean. The common area was very spacious and clean. I would even take my family here, the service was excellent. By far the best cheap accommodation i've had. To top it the view outside is just stunning.

The good: Our little cabin (queen terrace motel) was cute and with the exception of the tub, clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was comfortable, the service was good. It's only a few minutes' walk to town along the lake and it's very convenient if you're using Tracknet for transport.

The not-so-good: Hair/sand left in the tub and the hairtrap. The internet was a bit intermittent, but we got it to work. Comparatively more expensive than other places we stayed.

Stayed in a Terrace motel. Had a choice of cabin with shower or spa bath for same price. Was a really nice place to stay. Everything was clean room was spacious and staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. Stayed for two nights and was nice to have a veranda to sit outside and watch the sunset on. time to update tvs though!
A little bit noisy the first night as there seemed to be a group having a party in one of the kitchens that went on a little late, but this wouldnt stop me staying again.
