A 5 star trip ! Much more personal than the larger buses which allows you to ask questions and have great discussions during the drive. BBQ was good and allows you to explore while they prepare the food.
Highly recommend it !

Before we went to Queestown, I booked the Milford Sound BBQ Bus- Day Tour.I made my booking with my credit card and opted to pay cash on sight.Nick, our driver handled this without any problems. When we were waiting at the Lobby of the Novotel, lakeside, we couldn't find the Taxi driver who was supposed to pick us up to meet the group at the Cophorne Hotel at Frankton. After a phone call to Nick's wife, a taxi came to pick us up to meet the group. We enjoyed the morning tea and some biscuits on the way to TeAnau from Queenstown.During the way to Milford Sound.we stopped over the roadside several times to walk on the snow and for sightseeing After arrival in Mildford Sound ,we joined the day cruise operated by the Real Journey,We fully enjoyed the buffet lunch onboard the cruise. After the cruise,Nick took us right back to Queenstown and sent everyone to the hotels. We all wrote some grateful comments on a guest book kept by Nick.

Myself and my boyfriend took a trip with the BBQ Bus to Milford Sound this week and it was the highlight of our trip!! Nigel the guide was very informative, we only had a group of 6 which made it a very special experience and there were more photo stops than I had expected which was good as it broke up a long trip!! The lunch was fantastic - sitting in the sun in the mountains, next to a mountain stream!!!! Highly recommended!

For everyone visiting Te Anau or Queenstown this attraction is a must. There was lots of chances to take beautiful photographs along the way- including Fiordland National Park. The BBQ was good but the bumble bees made it a bit difficult to eat! Make sure you buy some inspect repellant and wear some comfortable shoes for walking. The bus was not as big and comfortable as other tours, but the guide did his best to make everyone comfortable.

Hi there,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your tour to Milford Sound on the BBQ Bus, we appreciate the feedback.

First of all, we are really happy to read that you enjoyed the unique aspects of our trip, being of course the BBQ lunch, and the extra sightseeing stops, particularly to places where the big buses can't get to, our lunch locations for example.

Bumble Bees - Certain times of the year there are a few around, not an aggressive bee at all, but they are quite big! We of course do provide bug repellant on our tours if people don't have there own.

Its fair to say perhaps our smaller coaches don't have quite the same of level of comfort with regard to seating as some of the larger buses, but not all I might add, however the buses are of a high standard and have excellent air conditioning systems and microphone systems installed to ensure a quality tour. Faulty air con system, particularly in cold weather and un clear microphone systems are a common complaint on some larger buses.

The smaller coach of course also allows to stop at our BBQ lunch locations and other sightseeing stops that would be otherwise inaccessible in the larger buses.

Your comments are noted about the bus of course and we appreciate your honest feedback, as we are always looking at ways to improve our service delivery.

Nice to read your driver/guide on the day was friendly and helpful.

Best Regards
Nick Rowcroft
