Refreshingly different, the menu comprises a selection pizzas and spaghetti and you are warned at the beginning that you might have to share a table with others, so not exactly the place for a romantic meal out!
Excellent food, great service and cosy atmosphere in front of a log fire made this a an enjoyable night out.
Great dining experience and will definitely go again.

Hard to find, down a side street, in an alley, but worth it! A small place with a very casual atmosphere, serving great pizza! My wife and I showed up around 3:00 pm, had a couple of beers for awhile (waiting to get hungry) and then ordered a pizza to share. This is a must stop for one of your evenings in Queenstown.

We have been loyal supporters of the Cow, for many years. We have loved taking international friends to this establishment due to the great vibe and ambiance however on our recent visit, something had changed! The staff was friendly but lacked any personality in going the extra mile and it was a totally different experience to the past. We had always loved the garlic bread that they offered but this time our loaf arrived luke warm and it was a heavy consistency, which was not the same from past visits. Pizza's were generally fine but lacked any wow factor, which could have been related to the service we received. Unfortunately the waitress did not go out of her way especially when we asked if they made specific drinks, unlike the old barman. Overall the Cow is a great destination and one hopes our visit was an isolated experience.

The Cow is really a great space- small, cosy, candlelit venue hidden down a laneway with a cranking fire. When you arrive you always feel like you've just stumbled across a little gem. The place has been around for a long time and is a bit of an institution in Qtown. The pizzas aren't the best in town, the service can be patchy and the wait can be long as they don't take bookings. BUT if you get them on a good night it's a great Queenstown experience that won't break the bank. We got them on a good night last week and enjoyed delicious garlic bread, pizza and beers by the fire. We'll be back!

Very cosy little place on a cold day with log fire. No table available immediately but they quickly served us a drink by the fire whilst we waited. In evenings when busy to optimise space they will put you on tables with other groups, which is a nice way of meeting people. The pizzas looked superb and a good size, and the bowls of pasta were on a par with a far more expensive italian restaurant which was a very pleasant surprise. Definitely recommended for those looking for a substantial meal and to be warmed through - by both the fire and the atmosphere.
