“Fantastic Views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2010

We found the total experience from booking the condos through to departing very easy and enjoyable. The apartment was well set out with fantastic views and easy to keep warm throughout our stay. All amenities were top class and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to repeat the experience next year for the ski season.

simply fantasic

a breath taking view from the window

clean neat and well a good location

a little steep on the pockets but a good place to stay if staying longer then 3 days

the kitchen was fully equipped -- the rooms were well heated --was centrally located(not that queenstown in anything really big)

safe place --what more to ask for

Excellent accommodation, clean, easy to access, well designed to maximise lake views from living area. Close enough to town for us with a 1 and 4 yr old so no need to worry about travel into town- uphill on the way back though.
Slightly complicated entertainment system which froze one morning but was repaired within 3 hrs.
Modern, well equipped kitchen.

We stayed here from 26 Dec to 2 Jan. Our apartment was in the second row of apartments, which was just perfect - off the main road face, so no disturbance at all, but we gave up a bit of the view. Although the road to the apartment is very rarely used (it is a dead end further on) given that it was peak season, there were a few cars.
We booked the apartment very easily online, and Sonya was very helpful. When the second installment of our pre-payment was rejected by my card company for some wierd reason, i panicked, but Sonya was totally cool about it and things were sorted out in the typical warm, friendly Kiwi way...a great first impression
The apartment itself was super...fully equipped, functional and with everything in place. We arrived early, and the cleaning lady was very helpful with our bags, and groceries, which she gladly offered to sort and stack in for us. This was a pleasant surprise, and a great first impression on site.
The location of the apartments is super. Exactly 1.5 minutes to the heart of the city by car, yet away from all the noise, noisy tourists, buses, cabs, etc. If you choose to walk, it would be above 7 mins to and 15 - 20 mins back, as you have to climb up the long slope back. I would certainly reccommend a car if you are with little children like we were.
The apartment was clean and everything worked. We did not feel the lack of any on site staff, and they were accessible on phone the one time we need to speak to them.
Good stuff : Big balcony to relax out on, Great view, spacious (big plus as we were with 2 kids), no key to the apartment needed, well furnished, super convenient dual dish washer, super location, ease in booking, fully equipped
Hmmmm : expensive (maybe because it was peak season/new year weekend), very noisy drainage when it rained, music system was too complicated and hi tech to attempt diciphering in my holiday mood - it looked state of art / wifi / etc. though!
All in all - just, perfect

The place was very well designed and very well maintained, although there was no front desk or on site staff ( Service - contact through a mobile phone number) we found everything and got whatever we asked for. The distance from town centre may be a bit far but its a trade off - peace and quiet versus distance- I prefer the peace and quiet!

In late winter or early summer the walk to the town centre was actually very pleasent ( except for that one really steep hill at the end!) And dont forget the view! You will not get a similar view from the places in the town itself.

Stayed for 8 nights in one of the front condo's (#9). The bedrooms on the ground floor were toasty warm. No need to use the electric blankets. Bathroom with spa bath was given a work out each evening after skiing and with heater floor was an ideal overnight drying room. Living area and kitchen were spacious with very comfy lounges, great gas fireplace and balcony looking over the lake and Remarkables.

Only complaint is the front condos don't have direct access from garage to apartment but no big deal as we could park the car next to the door and load / unload then drive down to garage. I think condos further back have direct access but don't get lake / mountain view from bedrooms so we were happy with the compromise.

A great place to base yourself in Queenstown, wish we were still there.
