My title says it all. You can not beat the location. We opted for the gondola room which was great. Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Anything you need, the staff is there. Plus the canapes and wine in the evening are such a nice extra touch.

Spent four nights at this boutique hotel in Queenstown, it couldn't have been better. The location was just a few minutes from the 3-square block downtown and harbor area, but it felt removed from the bustle as it was next to a rugby field and up on a hill by the gondola. The staff were all great, friendly with lots of advice. The rooms were very sophisticated and the bed very comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again if we're in the area. Congrats to John, Donna, Flo and Jackie for running such an excellent hotel.

After a month of travel around North and South Islands I have to say that Queenstown Park Hotel was like having your own home. There are only 19 rooms. There is a cocktail party each night for the guests. The hotel is not only beautiful but perhaps the most important part of it is Jackie, Flo, Donna and John. The staff (and owners Peter and Robin) are low key, friendly, immediately on a first name basis with you, and while Queenstown is a bit touristy and full of fun things to do, the hotel folks knew what to do and when to do it. I would stay here again and again and again.

a beautiful hotel in an outstanding location ... our room was spacious, comfortable and attention to detail was second to none, our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming. We shall most certainly plan for a longer stay next time.

Queenstown was the last stop on our honeymoon and we spent 3 nights at the Queenstown Park Hotel. I'd say that the hotel combines everything we like about a nice hotel in one. First off the fantastic staff, who were eager to offer up their advice while never being overbearing. We had tons of questions, and they never seemed to act bothered and gave us great info. At one point we decided last minute to take a flightseeing tour, and the staff literally did all of the work to set it up, which was so appreciated.
Also, the location is simply perfect. You can walk everywhere in Queenstown, but we never felt as though the street the hotel was on was "too busy".
The room was large with a refrigerator (helpful for wine), small sitting area, and a very cool mirror that rotated around and had a television on the other side. The bathroom was also very neat and modern.
We really enjoyed the pre-dinner drinks and "canapes". We took advantage of that time to not only sample some great NZ wines, but ask the knowledgeable staff about Queenstown and the local restaurants, etc. II wish I could remember the young lady's name, but she recommended we try the Botswana Butchery. We did, and my wife is still talking about it as one of the best meals of her life.
The breakfast downstairs is also very good, with plenty of options considering its not actually a restaurant. I recommend anything with the smoked salmon
This isn't an inexpensive place to stay, but it was worth every penny for us. I hope to someday return!
