A great little hotel. We had a room with a shower and kitchenette and there was some great style, although one or two odd examples of form over function. The view outside was of the gondola's and mountain side but it wasn't overly great. The service is exceptionally good with a helpful, friendly and knowledgeable couple running the hotel. There are pre-dinner drinks and breakfast which are good ways to meet the other guests in a hotel which has little other interaction.

The room is stunning but from a minimalist perspective. The two odd examples of form over function are a strangely place light right by the entry and a lack of places to put soap, shampoo etc in the bathroom.

The hotel is really close to the town center but in a quiet area, I would heartily recommend it as a great place to explore the town from.

Can't say enough good things about the Queenstown Park hotel. I found them online and was originally attracted to the design, but was wary since sometimes web sites can be deceiving. But the QPH was every bit as gorgeous as the website, and John, Donna, and Flo made the experience so much more than just a pretty hotel. They really made us feel at home at check-in, during pre-dinner drinks & canapes, and really any time we came home from one adventure or another. They gave us fantastic advice on restaurants, activities, and all of our travels in/around Queenstown and all of NZ.

We originally booked for two nights and extended our stay to 3 nights. The location is fantastic, the bed is supremely comfortable, and all of the fixtures and finishes are gorgeous. I highly recommend the Queenstown Park Hotel.

This was absolutely the best part of our 2 week stay in New Zealand - there's no way anything at Queenstown Park Hotel could have gone any better. The property and room were gorgeous - all the newest and neatest in technology and design. The location was perfect - about a block from the main street, everything was walkable within about 2-5 minutes. The staff and accommodations were absolutely perfect and exceeded my very high expectations. We were there for our honeymoon and were taken care of as if we were the only guests there, John, Donna and Florence gave the best recommendations for restaurants, tours, what to do and what NOT to do: they have mastered the "art" of hospitality!! We can't wait to go back to Queenstown and when we do - will definitely return to Queenstown Park Hotel!!!

As someone who has traveled to all sorts of hotels, including so called 5 star hotels like ritz and four seasons, to chic hotels like W, and Ian Schrager's Clift, Delano, etc- nothing compares to how incredible this hotel is. Why? 1. Location is perfect, walking to everything, but quiet 2. Chic and stylish rooms with all the phillipe stark type design sophistication 2. All the amenities included- internet. fridge, breakfast, etc and the most impressive 4. Incredible personal service. John, Donna and Flo treat you like family, know everything about the town (dining, excursions, etc)- it is wonderful ! I have NEVER had a better hotel experience. Wonderful !!
The only negatives at all were a sort of small vanity area in the bathroom (but the skylight above the shower made up for that) and lack of gym. However, there is a full gym in walking distance, so even that is not a problem.
You would be crazy to stay anywhere else in Queenstown !

The glass bathroom with freestanding bath and huge shower in the 'Remarkable-Room' is a real pleasure. The desiger touches are fantastic (especially considering the price) ... free-standing mirror swivels to flatscreen, electric blinds, and Cbus lighting system. Incredibly clean, boutique mini-bar treats, real milk combined with staff who have that perfect balance of professional friendliness make this place a winner if you want something very ponsonby/urbis cool!

My husband and I stayed at QPH at the end of January and it was the perfect place to stay for the luxury part of our 2 week honeymoon around the south island. Donna and John were amazing hosts and did everything to welcome us and assist us on our stay in Queenstown. They recommended beautiful restaurants that we thoroughly enjoyed and made a highlight of the trip.
The hotel is a boutique hotel, so you don’t have the large number of guests and staff that other hotels have. I felt this made it more intimate and we felt like we were the only people staying there. The rooms are elegant and beautifully furnished and my husband loved the large flat screen tv at the foot of the bed.
The 5 min stroll into the centre of town was great, as we parked our rental car in the undercover parking and didn’t use it until we left (parking in the city centre, can be difficult/busy at times).
Donna made us cooked gourmet breakfasts every morning, with fresh croissants, orange juice, tea and coffee. John had canapés and wine with us in the evening before we headed off to dinner.
Our stay here was my absolute favourite hotel out of anywhere we have stayed, not just for our honeymoon. It has even made me join trip advisor to make a review, as it was another review from a honeymoon couple that made me book QPH. It isn’t the most expensive place in Queenstown or the cheapest but if you are looking for something special I would recommend it to everyone.
I didn’t want to leave and I can’t wait to return. Hopefully soon if my husband will let me :)

Loved everything about this hotel. The location is 5 minutes walk from town. You get peace and quiet, but are in the center of things in no time. It's fun watching the para-gliders swooping down and landing in the park right next to the hotel from the couches in the lobby, while enjoying the complimentary wine and DELICIOUS canapes offered between 6 and 7. The decor is fantastic! Hip, modern, yet warm and cozy at the same time. Oftentimes modern hotels are cold and sterile, but whoever designed this one knew how to marry edgy and cozy. The size of the hotel was perfect, where you could enjoy as much interaction as you wanted. Not too big, nor too small. John and Donna, the lovely people who run the place, are professional yet warm and friendly....you look forward to seeing them as you come and go, getting their useful advice, and chatting with them at canape hour! The high tech features in the room are fun, and they actually work (unlike some hotels!!). The breakfasts are scrumptious. I will definitely be returning to this hotel. I couldn't have been more impressed.
