“absolutely beautiful!”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

My partner and I stayed here for three nights from Friday to Monday. Prior to even arriving in queenstown the staff at the hotel were very helpful via email correspondence. They arranged a corporate taxi to pick us up from the airport. The drive and the driver were both lovely, even stopping at some spots with nice views and taking photos of us!On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a lady who showed us around our room. The rooms were outstanding, generous size, beautiful decor and lovely views. We had breakfast daily at the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious! This was our first time in queenstown and I am very glad we picked this hotel. The staff were always happy to assist in anything from ordering taxis, to suggesting lovely restaurants etc. They were also more than happy to let us leave our luggage at the hotel after we had checked out so we could go into town before our late flight. Overall a wonderful experience, queenstown is a beautiful place and the stay was made even more enjoyable by a lovely hotel & friendly staff!

To be honest this place is all about personal touch, the people who work here are lovely people and have genuine interest in queenstown. They have canapés every night which I are delicious, the personal touch really brings the hotel to life. Everything about the hotel makes you feel at home. Definitely will suggest to give this place a try.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel in Queenstown. The fundamentals are flawless; central location, away from noise, clean and modern rooms.

The real winner for this hotel however is the professional service. We were kindly welcomed into the hotel and joined our host in the evening for wine and home-made canapes. We loved having a chat and getting all of the recommendations for enjoying Queenstown

Looking forward to our next visit to Queenstown and we will not be staying anywhere else

Room Tip: Rooms facing downtown overlook a lovely park and oval

Walking distance to town. No car needed. The hotel booked a car to pick us up at the airport and the cost was about $65 total (driver didn't even want to take a tip although he gave us a small tour of the city) and added the charge to the hotel bill. We only reserved two nights, but enjoyed the hotel and town so much added an additional night. They evan matched the price I had booked through Orbitz! Free happy hour every night with wine, beer and appetizers. Very helpful recommending restaurants. Finally, reserved a car when leaving town and it was only a block away to pick it up.

We stayed at this great little hotel at the beginning and end of our honeymoon. We were originally planning to try two different places in Queenstown but loved it so much the first time that we rebooked for our last few days before flying home.

This is a small to mid sized hotel (19 rooms), located on the edge of the city centre. All the main attractions in town and the Syline Gondola are only about 5 minutes away on foot. There are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the city from pretty much any window you care to look out of. The hotel is far enough away from the city centre to avoid any noise from that, though it is just down the road from the fire station, whose siren went off a couple of times (briefly) while we were there.

We stayed in two different rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs room was very spacious, and actually had a seating area with a couple of couches, and a small courtyard you could walk out to (with no view). The upstairs room was slightly smaller (though still larger than your average hotel room) and was my pick because of the view. The windows had great views of Ben Lomond peak, the skyline gondola and the occasional base jumper who would leap off the top of the skyline and land in the school oval across the street from our room. The shower also had a cool glass ceiling for something different. Both rooms had a small kitchenette if you want to cook for yourself. The beds were quite comfortable and we slept well. The free fudge in our rooms on arrival was a lovely touch.

The rest of the hotel was very nice. The breakfast provided downstairs each morning (a la carte with plenty of options) is of very high quality, and if you take the room rate that includes breakfast, is quite good value. Happy hour was held each night from 6, where free wine and canapés were provided. Seating in the lobby was fine while we were there in low season, but I imagine that if the hotel was fully booked, it would get crowded fast.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything from giving us recommendations for restaurants, to checking road conditions, to booking activities for us and even charging them to our room account for us (handy if the weather is marginal and your activity gets cancelled; removes the need for you to chase the operator for a refund).

We loved our time here and it certainly deserves it's high rating here on Tripadvisor. We would most difinately stay here again.

As I've mentioned before in my TA reviews, I have always trusted in T.A. to choose a hotel from the new destination when I'm traveling to. This one was not the excepcion and it was such a delight to find this hotel in this beautiful city.

I booked our 3 night stay through expedia website eventhough own hotel webpage was also available. I got my confirmation and when we arrived to the hotel, everything was in order.

We arrived by car around 4pm and parked our SUV below the hotel. Paces at the parking are limited but the personnel managed very well to allocate all cars having a full booked hotel. There is an elevator from the parking level to the reception level, so no issues with carrying luggage.

Since the check in process you realized that personal touch is involved in everything. They have a very nice desk where you sit a log with the person that is helping you so you do not perform the usual check-in standing.

What I like the most was the hotel room... such a nice and trendy decorations along with a innovative architectural design that elevates your comfort to an high level. Black and white colors that are imperatives in the room are a nice touch with the colorful sky or landscape. Amazing windows that give you such a nice a relax views of the mountain covered by pine trees.

One of the nice touch that we loved was the glass roof of the bathroom. You feel such a different feeling when taking a shower, but do not worry... nobody is able to see you besides birds that are flying above the roof.

Location for us was perfect, 5 min walking distance to the major dowtown-pier-waterfront and 5 minutes walk to the base of the Gondola. I highly recommend take the kiwi tour together with the Gondola ride.. its AMAZING to see a LIFE KIWI ... a lifetime experience.

Eventhough you have to walk a little bit to get famous spots, everythin in Queenstown is practically walking distance, so no issues for that. On the contrary, you have such a nice sleep time because you're in a quite area of the city.

At 5/6pm the offer canapes and wine for all their guests. It is the perfect time to try the famous white NZ wine together with some salmon/cheese little canapes. It is such a nice experience to talk with the people there. I have to give a BIG and SPECIAL CONGRATULATION to Karen, she´s a real kiwi and was one of the most kind persons we interact while in NZ. She gave us such a nice tips that helped us to enjoy even more our stay in Queenstown.

The only downside I could possible find is that you should climb some staris (around 10) to get to the room (at least the one we stayed) but it's not a big issue because they offer you help with your bags.

In general I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel, because for the price you pay and what you get in service, infraestructure and kindness... its totally worth it.

Enjoy life traveLing... and BON VOYAGE!!!

This hotel is about 5 mins walk from the town centre and the waterfront, and also from the bottom of the skyline gondola. It's a small place so the service was very helpful - they had a copy of the menus from most of the town's restaurants and the manager even phoned up to make a reservation at our chosen eatery. Breakfast was good. One small niggle was that the room we were staying in (room 6) had special instructions about how to get hot water out of the shower, that they neglected to mention when we checked in! Shame, because the toiletries and robe looked very nice. Special bonus points though for the hotel letting us leave our car in their (free) carpark for an extra 24 hours whilst we travelled elsewhere.
