From the moment we walked in the door the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and offer advice for dinner, activities etc. Very friendly and professional. This is a great boutique hotel, extremely clean and with a modern flair. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. Evening canapés and wine are graciously served. Would highly recommend!

Wow wee.. our 1 night here has to be the best accommodation experience we've had - it far exceeded the price, which for me is a first.

Super friendly welcoming, felt like royalty upon arrival, but not in a pretentious way - Eduardo was fantastic for our entire stay, thank you. We arrived during the 6-7 canape hour which was a lovely surprise - delicious fresh salmon and some chilled sav, great start!

The rooms are spectacular and full of little surprises. We were comfortable, slept well (which is not the norm for some Queenstown hotels) and were looked after from the word go. Really felt like we should've been paying a lot more than we were.

They're in a perfect location too - took us 5 minutes to walk to the other end of town and having 2 large fields on either side of the building general Queenstown buzz wasn't an issue while sleeping.

Loved it here, cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room off the main road & upstairs. Not all come with bathtubs, so ask abou...

We stayed for 3 nights in late January 2013 in the Tower Suite to have a bit of luxury to get over the jet lag of a 32 hour journey and before we headed out in the campervan for two weeks. It was a wonderful hotel to start the holiday and I would recommend whole heartedly. The Tower Suite was really spacious, clean, light and very stylish. Our balcony overlooked the gondola and we watched the paragliders coming down each morning from the top of the mountain to land in the field opposite the hotel - fantastic. The hotel is in a brilliant location as about a 5 minute walk to town and 10 minutes to the lakeside. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the wine/canape time at 18.00 is a lovely idea as a good way to start the evening and to meet other guests to share moments of our holiday. The breakfast was delicious. Overall a wonderful stay and we will be back when we next visit NZ.

From the first phone call with Eduardo to the moment we laft, our experience with QPH was fantastic. its a modern and v pretty boutique hotel within a 5 minute walk of downtown shops, restaurants, bars and activities (including both the water front and the gondola). the staff was professional and very helpful, with attentive service and a complimentary wine & canapés service at 6pm. So nice. We would happily stay again!! It's not a 'hotel with a view' per se, but you will be out and about in Queenstown so much with all the outdoor activities, you'll be taking in the view everywhere else you go. The service and convenience factors with this hotel and staff are exceptional.

It is a small, well-decorated, intimate hotel that features a free cocktail hour each evening. Rooms with a south view can see the gondola and watch the paragliders descend to a nearby landing. Rooms with a north view overlook the rugby field which is generally very quiet. Easy walk to downtown center and the lake. Staff, especially Karen and Eduardo, are outstanding.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always with suggestions on what to do, where to eat etc.
Rooms were clean with a little little kitchen area. The WiFi had daily download limits before a fee but while I did not try to download movies or update the computer, I did not exceed the limit with normal use and found it worked well. I also thought the nightly drinks hour very nice and friendly --- a big plus for a single traveller...
It was also an easy walk to town.
