“Don't hesitate book it!”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

We booked this hotel after reading reviews and because of it's location and we were not disappointed. All the staff know the meaning of outstanding customer service in this boutique hotel. It is a 2 min walk to the town centre but was a quiet location. Decor and cleanliness 2nd to none and we would definitely book again. We made good friends with other guests over the included pre-dinner drinks and horderves each evening to the extent that we had dinner together 3 of the 5 nights we stayed. Well done John and the team.

We booked this hotel after reading about it on Tripadvisor and were very glad we did. The service from John and Donna was second to none and our 4 nights there were a pleasure.

The location is excellent and the pricing compared to other places is great. The rooms are large, modern and clean. Everything you could ask for.

Booked for one night away (from Christchurch). Used trip advisor to choose a hotel and this was it. Would love to stay there again. Rooms, service , breakfast, location, experience and price were all TOPS! Highly recommend to all... Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in May and this was definitely one of our favourite hotels we stayed in, in all of New Zealand! This is a great little boutique hotel!

First of all, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. We really enjoyed the complimentary canapes and wine that were offered before dinner. The company of the staff at this time was also great, it was nice to chat with them and get tips on things to do during our stay.

The rooms here are also exceptional! Very comfortable beds and the bathrooms are so modern and nice. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown, which is also great.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Queenstown! Make sure to visit Fergburger while you are here!

My boyfriend and I stayed here in February for a night away and we loved it. The rooms are a good size and have everything. I especially liked a couple of little touches like the woven baskets with amenities in them and the chandelier that you can dim. The beds are very comfortable and there is a great sky light window over the shower that gives the illusion that you are outside! Pre dinner drinks and cocktails are served in the lobby lounge and we were hosted by Koto who was wonderful - very friendly and helpful with a great knowledge of the area. We had delicous canapes and a good local wine before heading out to dinner. We had ate breakfast at the hotel the next morning also which was very good value with fresh pastries and good coffee. I would make only one negative comment and that is that if you are a light sleeper as I am, we did have a brief drunken parade of people heading home past our window in the early hours of the morning. Had we had a park facing room this would not have affected us at all so my advice: pay the little bit extra!

The staff here were so lovely and helpful. It's fantastic to be able to organize all tourist activities through the hotel and book dinners. The rooms are quite nice, although I'd suggest against a room upstairs as you get a view of the school across the road (even though there are single sided blinds, it's just not that great). The breakfasts are lovely, but it would be nice to be able to dine in your own room occasionally (there's not enough space for a table and two chairs given the size of the bed and other things in the room). Sitting down with a nice glass of wine and some canapes at 6pm with the staff is such a nice idea too, a fantastic pre-dinner drink or after a huge day of activities. Location is great too.

Room Tip: Book a downstairs.

We had a lovely room with a sweeping view of a park. Breakfast in the hotel is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything is within walking distance. Have breakfast at Eichardts and visit FergBurger. We also enjoyed Winnies Pasta bar.
The staff can book good wine tours and cruises to Milford and Doubtful for you.
