Creeksyde is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Queenstown, close to the base of the gondola and ideally located as a base in Queenstown. We stayed in a camper van, arrived around 11am and by 1pm we were at the top of a hill about to go paragliding thanks to the organization of the reception staff. We only had a relatively short time in Queenstown but a long list of things we wanted to do which we presented to reception and they managed to come up with a way for us to do everything. We had no problem waiting for showers, but that would be my only criticism that perhaps if it was very busy there might be a que for the showers. But would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in a cabin in this caravan park with the three adults and three teenagers. Our cabin had lots of room, full kitchen, close to shops and activities in Queenstown. One downside, no view, so if that matters stay elsewhere. But the price and location were right for us. Very funky campground, nice people.

We stayed in Unit 6 which was a 3.5 bedroom house. Whilst this place was old and tired it was great for our group of 6 adults, 1 couple and 4 singles. 1 room had a queen bed, 2 bedrooms had 2 singles and there was a small room with a single bed. The lounge was large and had enough seating for everyone. There was a toilet in the bathroom AND a seperate toilet on its own. Although it was a busy area, on the corner of an intersection and surrounded by campers we didnt have a problem with noise.
Pros: Walking distance to the supermarket, not far from main town and the gondola. parking space at no charge, staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: old - the oven switch was broken and you couldnt tell what temp the oven was on or if it was on at all. Tv reception was really bad. Could definitely do with some updating and new kitchen equipment.
The first night we didnt have any hot water, we reported it in the morning and they sent someone straight over to fix. Once fixed we all had hot showers and didnt run out of hot water.

That unit is great for groups or a large family and is a popular unit. Thank-you for letting us know about the oven switch and tv. The oven has now got a shiny new switch! And the TV repair man has been in to do his magic.

Standard fare top 10 camping ground. We were in a motorhome here for 2 nights so didn't use the facilities much. Though had to wait half an hour for a shower in the morning and the camp was only reasonably busy. I'd say not enough showers if it was full. To be honest I would not enjoy having a camping/motorhome holiday in the christmas/new year period in NZ. Queueing for showers and toilets is just not my scene.

I did like being 10 miniutes from town by foot though.
Saw a danish family of 5 pull up in a motorhome and were shocked to find they would have to $100 for the night. I guess that's just the top 10 pricing.

Room Tip: The motorhome sites near reception looked very nice under the trees.

There should be no waiting for long periods for showers as we do have more than the minimum required for our size holiday park. Our various facility blocks are in different areas around the park for everyone to make use of. I am sorry if this wasn’t made clear on check in and that you had to wait. Since reading comments we have recently increased the amount of signs to point out the various blocks to make them more noticeable.

Our family of 4 stayed in one of the units for 3 nights. We had 2 bedrooms and an open living area with a kitchen. Great value for money! The bedrooms were relatively small, but fully sufficient. The living area had everything you need; couch, coffee table, dining table, TV. Clean bathroom although nothing fancy. Kitchen was well equipped. Staff was very friendly and helpful, with everything from minor requests to helping arranging a tour. Location was great, just a few minutes walk to downtown, but more quiet. It was close to a landing site for kite flyers which my girls enjoyed watching. There is a very good high end supermarket across the street. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Room Tip: I think units vary quite a bit so if possible check out the unit first. I can't remember our uni...

We are very happy to see that you enjoyed your stay. I agree the supermarket across the street is great, especially the fresh croissants and coffees on an early morning! Hopefully we’ll see you back again sometime soon!

Apart from what's written in the title I'd say it's fine. Had to wait for a shower for half an hour in the morning though - not nice. Well, it's close to town and the facilities are overall nice and tidy.

I’m glad you enjoyed the facilities as our staff work hard keep them nice and clean for our guests. As our holiday park covers a large area we have scattered numerous communal facility blocks around the grounds instead of having just the one block. We have done this so in the colder winter months if a guest needs to use facilities during the night they don’t have far to walk in the dark. If one shower is busy during the morning rush, there are plenty of others available in the other blocks just a short walk away.

We stayed here for 1 night. The whole site is quite cramped and our ensuite studio room was full of character (including an old organ). Our room was a good size and well equipped although a bit overlooked. Only a 5 minute walk into town.
