The second you walk in through the long hallway past the luxury bathrooms with underfloor heating you see the breath taking view Queenstown and peppers have to offer. Sitting on the luxurious couch with the warm air from the fire place while your rental skies are being delivered to you. I stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom apartment. The kitchen is big enough to store and make your own food. the receptionist are as helpful as ever I have been staying here for at least ten years and seems to get better every year.

Room Tip: The views are worth the extra cost.

How could anyone not be captivated by the location and view .I had a standard room and it was perfect.Great size with each room having its own lake view and balcony.I wanted to stay longer!! A good standard of breakfast however no restaurant for evening meal. The stunning view of the Remarkables made the few minute walk to town worth it.

We stayed in a beautiful one bedroom suite at the Peppers and really enjoyed our stay. The room had a nice living area, a beautiful kitchen and "to die for" views from the patio of the lake and mountains.

The hotel is situated on edge of town within easy walking of all major tourist destinations - we walked everywhere except when we went out of town.

The hotel is strangely constructed (it was built in phases) so we needed to use two lifts and walk through the interior parking garage to get to our room. The cleaning crews were great but the desk agents were not very helpful and truthfully not that helpful.

But all in all - our room and the hotel were wonderful and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Kia Ora Nola 404,

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your overall stay with us in Queenstown. Peppers Beacon was built in two stages which are connected with a courtyard which is being used as a BBQ area during summers and is quite popular among the families.

Our OneBedroom apartments are self contained apartments with nice views of Lake Wakatipu and Remarkable and are very popular.

We are pleased to know that housekeeping staff was helpful but I am very disappointed to hear that you found the Front Desk staff was not helpful. As we strive on our customer service, I would like you to please contact me personally at dinesh.gandhi@peppers.co.nz so I can investigate it further.

Once we again we thank you for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to Peppers Beacon.

Kind regards

Short of being an exquisite 5 star property this is a great value, great located property certainly worthy of being 4 stars. 5 minute stroll to the waterfront/town centre so one doesn't need a car. Got a lift with a friend who lives in Q'town to the hotel, but was a $38 ride to airport the day we left with blue bubble cabs. Reception area is small and understated for such a great little gem of a hotel. Found all staff smiley and helpful, typical for this part of NZ.

Stayed in a 1 brm deluxe apartment. Was really surprised with the huge size and loved the fire place. Kitchen was huge and fully equipped - but couldn't work out how to use the wee coffee machine. I'm in my early 20s and not scared of technology, so yeah, I wonder if I'm the only one who's thought so... Was a bit strange how the non fireplace wall's windows looked directly into the apartment next door and blinds didn't fully extend down therefore had to leave all 'privateness' to the bedroom! The bathrooms floor was heated which was a nice touch, our towels dried quickly which was helpful showering twice a day.

As other reviews say the beds are quite hard, the property could do quite well in investing in a mattress topper which range at farmers for about 300/400 ;)

My only other quip was that I had my 'do not disturb sign' on the entire stay but house keeping twice knocked then opened the door moments later before I even had time to get off the couch wanting to service the room. Annoying, especially with the sign on. Seem very keen to want to clean!

Room Tip: The higher the room the better the view I think. Any room level 6 and a above requires a lift change...

Hotel is in a great location. We had a family of four, and the two bedroom apt worked perfect. Loved the big courtyard. felt very much like your own condo. Plenty of towels and blankets to make it cosy. Free parking was a bonus.
Only negative is the gym. Strange set up for hot tub, and the ceilings are really low for the one treadmill, and cycle.

Very nice accommodation. Covered secure car park, clean spacious room, and most importantly a very helpful front desk staff!! Our luggage was delayed by the airline and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help us retrieve our luggage. We had been trying to arrange for our luggage to be delivered the previous day without success. The next morning I explained the situation to the front desk (Amy I think!) and she was more than happy to help. She recommended a place for breakfast (Vudu Cafe) which was amazing! We returned from breakfast to find our luggage waiting for us!!

Room Tip: Very nice accommodation and walking distance to city centre.

This hotel is the nicest I have ever stayed at. I have travelled extensively but this hotel was the best by far. The location was perfect just two blocks from the centre of town the view was spectacular from the lounge and kicthen area as well as the balcony and main bedroom. The lounge had a gas burning log fire and the doors all around the living area are glass floor to ceiling opening onto the balcony.
The bathrooms both had heated floors. Kicthen featured a wall oven hot plate microwave etc as well as everything required in a kicthen.
Washing machine and dryer were provided.
The only down fall was to enter our two bedroom apartment on the ninth floor we had to go to the fifth floor walk across the courtyard and take another lift to the ninth floor.
We would still stay at this hotel again as it really was a spectacular location and beautiful apartment.

Room Tip: We booked through expedia and paid only $1470 for two, two bedroom apartments for three nights each.
