Owner description: Making wine personal.... Join Queenstown's original wine tour. Enjoy spectacular scenery, fascinating local history and more importantly taste some great wines,in particular our Pinot Noir. Tours depart daily from Queenstown all year round. Our guides have local knowledge and a great relationship with vineyard personal. Our tours are relaxed, personalised and visit a selection of boutique wineries. We keep our tours small and travelling time to a minimum, so there is plenty of time for you to sample fine wine, food and local cheeses whilst interacting with winery personnel. For those who prefer the exclusivity of a private guide and vehicle, we offer full and half day tours exploring the wine areas of Gibbston Valley and Bannockburn. Our Wine Tours can be combined with a Jet Boat ride, Helicopter flight or the ultimate relaxation package, try our spa and wine experience. We offer complimentary pick up and drop off from accommodation or central Queenstown

“Most enjoyable wine tasting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2011

We had a great time with only 4 of us on the tour. Lance and Heather were wonderful hosts and guides and our request to go to Chard Farm as one of the wineries was accommodated with no problem. We enjoyed all the wineries and the cave tour and lunch at Gibbston. Each winery had its own special features and there was plenty of time at each to sample as many wines as we wished.

“Fantastic Day! As a Travel Agent can highly recommend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2011

I had four days in Queenstown with 3 friends doing lots of wonderful things but this tour was our highlight! As a Travel Agent I had a choice of companies to choose from and when I received my first reply from Queenstown Wine Tours I knew they were the tour for us. The staff are all so friendly and effecient.
We had a fantastic day - our guide Brendon was great - friendly, informative and an asset to Queenstown Wine Tours.
We visited 4 Wineries - all quite different to each other which was excellent and we were well informed at all places. They all had superb wine - lovely tastings and reasonable costs to buy.
We had lunch and a tour of the vineyard at Gibbston Valley which was really imformative and the unique Cave Tasting was something neat to do. Food and Wine Fantastic.
Mt Rosa was our next stop and really unique in the old woolshed - fantastic host and delicious wine in a beautiful location.
Chard Farm - lovely place felt like we were in Italy - again great host and wine!
Last stop Amersfield which was again lovely wine especially the bubbles!
We all learnt lots over the day and good variety of wines tasted and new friend made! This was all topped off by superb weather!
I would highly recommend this tour as a must do experience for all visitors to Queenstown and the hospiltality and service of Queenstown Wine Tours is the best!

We were one of those couple (as mentioned in the review just prior) that just wanted to learn a little about the local wines and taste from several differant wineries - and we had a blast!

Our guide was friendly, knowlegable, and clearly knew all the proprietors very well. Lets just say by the third winery we were very happy sombody else was driving!

They set up lunch for us at one of the vinyards which was really delicious and in a great setting.

Because we only had a few people on this particular day and had some extra time our guide did a quick detour to Arrowtown and walked us around.

Just a wonderful day.

“A wine tour for tourists”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2011

We recently went on their "original" wine tour.

Having been on another tour in Marlborough this compared poorly.

The tour is best suited to tourists who just want to know a little about wine and visit a few wineries. We wanted to do a more thorough job of tasting as this is a special regionand we are keen on wine but much time was wated at the beginning and it started late.

There was not much added by the leader and they just choose from about 6 vineyards that are most convenient for them.

Dear customer, it saddens me to read that you had a disappointing experience on our tour recently. On behalf of our team I apologise for that. Wihout knowing the date of the tour you took I can only assume your delay would be due to the several lots of road works we have had here over the past month. On our Original tour we visit 4 wineries, which means a minimum of 16 wines can be tasted. When taking bookings guests often request winery visits and we encourage customers input. We have great relationships to all 8 cellar doors in the area, which gives the wine tour great variety. Also, we offer daily private tours if you wish to tailor make a tour to your requirements.

Please do contact me directly to further investigate in details, and I surely hope we will get to see you on one of our tours again.

“Relaxed and informative”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2011

My husband and I did this wine tour for my birthday on New years Eve day. The wineries visited were all quite different and all of the hosts were very informative. The lunch was particularly enjoyable with a glass of wine included. And we stopped at the bungy bridge on the way home to watch those braver than us! All in all a good day (although I wasn't drunk at the end of it)!
