Comfortable stay close to the city centre

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 14, 2019
The property was very comfortable and functioning very well at all levels, with comfortable beds, good bathroom facilities and a fully equipped kitchen; my only criticism was that despite the adequate space involving two bedrooms, sitting room/kitchen, which were spacious, there was relatively little space to accommodate clothing, even one is not carrying too much (if one used it for skiing, I imagine one would have a problem stashing one’s things). Having said that, I stayed at another apartment on my return, which had a lot of cupboard space, so unsure what the norm is. The property has parking facilities and is located close to the centre of town, so one can walk pretty much everywhere.

We had a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment.
Pros: clean, spacious, off street parking, quiet, heated floors and towel racks in bathrooms, and nice courtyard with picnic table and grill
Cons: no A/C, one bedroom had window to hallway with blinds that was strange

We stayed here for 8 nights with another couple. We had each booked a one bedroom apartment, but were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment - wow!! The apartment was clean, cosy and very comfortable. A full kitchen was very handy, as was the barbeque in the courtyard. The view from our apartment was absolutely stunning, and we never tired of looking. Queenstown is a fabulous place to visit.
The apartment had underfloor heating in the bathroom - very welcome on the chilly nights, and the heating for the rest of the apartment was very efficient.
All the staff were exceptional - very friendly and helpful.
We really could not find any fault with the Glebe. A short stroll in to town and close to everything.
We would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: A courtyard room has stunning views, and probably quieter as away from the road.

This was our home base while in Queenstown for a week. Easy walk into the centre of Queenstown. Comfortable rooms with everything we required. Friendly staff who were more than happy to answer any questions/queries we had regarding the area and things to do and see. Our courtyard room was reasonably quite allowing us to get a good nights sleep over our busy days exploring

We stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment wow service and the location couldnt be beaten. Everything you need even if you wanted to cook your self you could. Large lounge and very quiet even though you were so close to Queenstown. Great recommendations. They told us about the Hop on Hop off bus and we had such a great day out. Thanks again

Room tip: Over looking courtyard

Had a lovely stay here at the Walter Peak Penthouse. The apartment is double story & the top part is the master bedroom. If you are part of a group you will be very happy with the master. The other 2 bedrooms are a generous size with own bathrooms but were quite stuffy & If you open the window there is too much road noise.
The lounge / kitchen outdoor area is enormous & perfect for entertaining. Carpet needs a refresh too.
We were there for over a week & with only 1 clean during the stay it was starting to look pretty dirty before we left.
Great location, & not too far up the hill.
Photo view from lounge balcony.
