What a great place. Even though the Bull wasn’t going we had a great night with friends. The staff... read more
The members of staff were so rude as soon as we entered the bar and acted like they didn’t even want you there. I had a drink and was stood by the bar, then I looked around and my drink was gone! I told a member of staff my drink had gone and she said ‘well i didn’t take it’ (brunette hair) and i said ’that’s fine, i know you didn’t take it, but maybe a member of staff cleared my drink without knowing i was still drinking it’ (it had a third still left), this woman then literally looked at me and shrugged her shoulders and walked away,
I thought this was so rude considering i bought this drink about 10 mins ago.
This then happened a second time!! my drink got cleared and the same girl acted like that was normal.
Also i really wanted to go on the bull ride and the person in charge told me i needed a $2 coin and to go to the bar to get one.
Iwent to the bar and they told me they didn’t have any. I waited for over an hour all the while other people were able to get coins and go on the same ride then other people were able to get some coins so then i asked if i could and a different, very kind member of staff helped me and changed my coins.
Anyway i think this bar needs to talk to its employees about making people feel welcome. i am here on holiday and this was the first bar i came to in queen town and honestly you were were so rude and unkind to us! I was with other friends who live in Queenstown and they told me this bar has a reputation for really unfriendly members of staff and to only go if you’re going with good people as the staff will not make u feel welcome at all.

Staff were incredibly rude, and I see this isn’t a unique experience reading others’ reviews. I was grabbed by the arm by a non-uniformed staff member who was rudely pushing through the crowd, hard enough to leave a bruise. Upon asking not to be grabbed again, was rudely shoved out within a minute of getting in. Bouncer outside was verbally abusive despite just having let our group in and having a friendly chat at the door. Saw the same bouncer in town the following day who said “that’s just our GM she does that sometimes”. Completely unacceptable, both in terms of terrible hospitality and overall customer experience, but also using unreasonable physical force on patrons to deliberately get a reaction - to some people this could be extremely triggering. Never go here, management has ruined this place which used to be a Queenstown hot spot.

Walked in after having dinner, attempted to order. Only to be refused service without explanation or even attempt of discussion why. Was only told we couldn't stay at the premises... Poor staff and manger with no poeple skills or hospitality service. Probably lucky queesntown is so busy or they would have no buisness at all from interaction they gave us.. distasteful all round.

Had just walked in at 7:30pm and was immediately refused service and told to leave with absolutely no reason except, "couldn't understand what you were saying" the extent of the prior convo was me reading out two cocktails from the menu, all I had drank for the day was literally 2 cocktails approx 2 hours prior to entry as I had been luging and gondola riding prior ... I' can only assume they don't like or can't understand the Australian accent... Very rude staff member, offered me some water which was fine and then sent a ?manager to tell me I can't buy a drink... Great way to make tourists feel welcome.... Not. Don't recommend. Go elsewhere.

BEST staff ever XX
sooooo lovely and accomodating, drinks were amazing & the vibe was so perfect
will be coming back every trip <33 !!!!

Went with a group of work mates. We were not made to feel welcome by the staff who were rude and miserable. We went in there particularly to play on the shove ha'penny table but a large group of locals were on it for a couple of hours despite lots of asking it was clear that tourists would not be able to play. I know you've had to survive with locals during these times but tourism will come back and I'll not recommend this place to anyone visiting QT anymore as its full of rough local lads and miserable staff.
