“A perfect place to start your holiday in New Zealand”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We arrived in NZ via Queenstown airport and found our way easily to the hotel. The lady who runs the place has the most infectious sense of humour, she welcomed us like old friends and made us feel at home right away. Our room on the first floor was spacious and spotless, well appointed with a good size bathroom. The hotel is located only 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of town and has quite spectacular views of the mountains and the Ski Lift with restaurant on top. Free WiFi is available on request. Do take the advice of the Hostess as she knows where to go and what to see and gives excellent directions. She even arranged for my wife to visit a hairdresser at the drop of a hat without an appointment, an impossibility at home! Breakfast is excellent too! The parking area is limited, and as we had a large 4X4 we were advised to park it on the road for easy access.

What a perfect way to end our perfect holiday! Arriving here we were greeted by the lovely Sharna and hotel owner Ailey. The wifi was free and worked and there was a free drink at night with some lovely nibbles. Breakfast was cooked by the owner (Ailey) and was mouth watering! We couldn't wait untill tomorrows breakfast!! Our room was nice and spacious and over looked the mountain and gondola. Have told all our friends and will definately be returning.

Central Ridge is close to CBD Queenstown, the room large clean and warm. Make sure you ask for the free WIFI code and check it's working on check-in. Ours failed to work and as we came in late at night and needed info for flights out etc the next morning it was a nuisance and the desk was unoccupied that late.

After tramping both Milford and Routeburn Tracks, my wife and I needed some relaxation. Central Ridge Boutique offered us that plus so much more.

We spent our last night in New Zealand in Queenstown, and we could not have had a more enjoyable time. We were fortunate to find a Grab One coupon for the room, and it was worth every dollar. We were amazed that the owner personally served us wine and canapes in the evening, breakfast in the morning, and was the masseuse for the massages we purchased - she did everything!

The wine tasting and canapes was a fun time to talk to other couples from around the world. The breakfast was a good buffet of yogurt and fruit, then a warm breakfast. The massages were just what we needed after our week of tramping and before our long flight back to the US. I would highly recommend staying here if you're ever in Queenstown. It is far enough away from the main part of town that we felt like we could enjoy peace and quiet, but it was close enough to the town center and Queenstown gardens, we were able to go for several nice walks including dinner.

We were shown to our room and were given lots of information about the local area. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the opportunity of the evening complimentary wine session to meet and chat with others about trips and restaurants etc. The hotel was very convenient to the local amenities including the Botanical Gardens which was well worth the visit.

This is a 'hands on' hotel where the owner will do almost anything to ensure the comfort of his guests. Well located to the town centre and great restaurant/cafes one has little distance to wander to experience the typical but fantastic views found in New Zealand and on a perfect breakfast to start the day.

Our travel agent recommend this place when we were dissatisfied with the original place we were scheduled to stay. The room was beautiful and what a view of the gondola and mountain. The owner and front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. It is a perfect location as it is a 5 minute walk from town but away from the noise and provides more privacy than many of the downtown places. Highly recommend this place.
