We went up in December. Nice drive up and a easy hike up the hill with the kids. Amazing views. Definitely coming back for a winter hit

It’s really fun up at coronet peak, but experience wasn’t great this time around, the ski instructor Tony was very rude, and impatient.

Having never being skiing before my friends purchased passes whilst I had a 4 hour beginner lesson.
I had Paula as my instructor and she was patient, encouraging and persistent.
We met at 10:30 and started off by learning how to move/stop/start in skiis. Once everyone felt comfortable we started on the magic carpet and doing short, easy runs.
Paula had eyes on everyone on the group and easily saw everyone’s ability levels and adapted accordingly.
A member of our group had an accident and it was dealt with professionally and swiftly.
Amazing value for money and I even faced my greatest fear of heights and went on the chair lift. A full day of skiing with a fantastic instructor. Big shout out and thank you to Paula!

Thanks for your review and yes I have passed this on to Snowsports and Paula. Also good to see you were up and riding the chairlift on your first day. That's a very positive step and the miles you get on the skis once you are riding the chair will accelerate your progress immensely. Which is why the Meadows chair is pitched so shorty and gently.
Hope you have a chance to build on your first days progress in the future.
Kind regards
Nigel

Have had five amazing days at Coronet Peak over the last few weeks.

Transport: Ski bus - highly recommend. Super easy and cheap for people not comfortable driving. No worries about having to get up before car parks reach capacity (particularly in Level 2). Drivers were all friendly and very helpful!

Rentals: Super efficient and quick, (though we were in early before the school groups arrived!). Good quality gear, boots very comfortable. Really helpful to use the overnight storage for the consecutive days.

Cafe: very well run in level 2, good options available and still lots of places to sit outside (we were there on really sunny days so that helped!). Price of food does add up, option is there to bring your own and hire a locker for $10 a day!

Mountain: Just so much fun. Chairlift crews were chatty and friendly, nice to see the medical team out and about helping people. Our third day was quite icy to start with but can't be help.. just made me learn rather quickly how to not freak out each time! Queues were absolutely minimal despite level 2. Really appreciate you guys filling the chairlifts if people wore face coverings. Sadly as we had such warm days not many had buffs on, but it really wasn't too packed.

No complaints what so ever.

Thanks for your review, really enjoyed reading it. Perfect fuel to pass on to the staff who really have had a year of it and as we come to the end reading this is a boost.

I hope the rest of your holiday in Queenstown was as good and look forward to seeing you again.
Kind regards
Nigel
