We had the best weather, clear sunny and calm. The steamer itself was intriguing. The workings of the steamer open to view and the hard working stoker. What a great job.
The farm itself just perfect set in a stunning garden within the valley.
An informative and admirable demo of shearing ....who knew moccasins were worn so they feel the sheeps position and it helps them move the wool. The dog rounding the sheep was so impressive and the lunch was devine. Would so reccomend this.

We chose to do the early dinner cruise after finding a good deal on book me. The cruise was a lovely way to see the lake from a different perspective and Walter Peak is a beautiful place to visit. Dinner was okay but not amazing. The shearing display was great and my girls really enjoyed watching the farm dogs in action.

Booked sunny cruise, sheep shearing and BBQ lunch. They did make an error with our tickets but sorted on the day over lunch by the helpful Zack so all good. Cruise is great with onboard pianist, sing along! Bubbles at 10am is a good way to start, 40 mins to farming station and excellent shearing presentation from Arle. The BBQ lunch is varied, 6 types of meat, hot potatoes and cold salads all helped down with a glass of rose. The lunch is well worth having and great service from Gabbi and Jamie. A must is the sticky date dessert.

Enjoyed the short ride over to Walter Peak Farm on the TSS Earnslaw. The farm has beautifully manicured gardens. At the Farm we were served a scrumptious buffet dinner followed by a sheep shearing Demo. On the return trip we enjoyed the piano player and sang along with some classic melodies.

Go on! Spend the money! It's really worth it and if you like a sing a long then this is heaven! Amazing history, wonderful scenery and when that horn goes off the whole of the South Island can hear it.
