YHA Queenstown Central
Certificate of Excellence

The kitchen is well stocked, the staff were helpful, the rooms clean with good linen and provisions. Prime view of the lake from the shared kitchen. Excellent value for money, and free wifi for YHA members.

To avoid street noise ask for a room in the middle of the building. Having said that, we stayed in October and I was in a street facing room with no issue with noise.

Would recommend. Not wheelchair accessible. About 15 Stairs to first floor (where half of the rooms are located).

I stayed here with 5 other friends two times in July this years.
Very good location, smack bang in the middle if everything.
Pretty clean, our shower pressure wasn't the great but can't complain...it was nice and hot.

Wouldn't hesitate recommending this yha to anyone.

Room Tip: The private double rooms are pretty good

Great location right in the town centre surrounded by cafes, bars, shops, grocery and the lake. The room was more what you would expect in a hotel/motel with TV, ensuite, a double and single bed, closet, desk, chairs, bedside tables and kettle/coffee/tea. The shared kitchen had everything we needed plus a view a view of the lake. The staff were helpful and had an answer for every question we had. Cost more than the YHA Lakefront - but worth every penny. Looking forward to our next stay in the YHA Queenstown Central

A centrally located hostel, right near all the nightlife, cafes and information/ activities. It was clean and the service was very good. The room was great where it had a bathroom, which for a hostel that's un heard off.

Stayin in the Centre of Queenstown is a must! This place is perfect. We stayed 5 nights here over the snow season and absolutely loved it. My partner and i booked a double room with ensuite for about $90/n and it was great value for money. We had lake front views and a TV, and availabilty for the kitchen facilities. Friends of ours that stayed at a 5 star hotel up the hill slightly were jealous of what we got. Will be staying here again!!

Room Tip: Lake side is best- away from Shotover st and great views

I was very impressed with YHA Queenstown Central, it is one of the best hostels I have stayed in! The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, had good wardrobe and desk space and also had tea/coffee-making facilities. Towels are provided and replaced daily as required. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hostel is in a brilliant location, right in the centre of Queenstown. I would definitely recommend it!!

This Yha is one of the best I've stayed in, in terms of location, value for money, comfort- it has it all. Located near lots of shops, restaurants-FERGBURGER! Rooms were spacious, ensuite, kettle in the room. The kitchen/Common room wasn't great but in somewhere like Queenstown it didn't matter as we were out & about all the time!
