Stayed over NYE and had a blast. Hostel staff and guests were friendly. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of things and walking distance to supermarkets, bars, bus stops. Really liked the common room which had a balcony with a beautiful view, great place to enjoy a drink in the afternoon and chat with other guests. There was a lot of partying when I was there (NYE- expected), but they shut the common room down around 12 so people move onto bars/pub crawls. Never found noise a problem in the rooms, but it's not a super quiet hostel either. Kitchen is quite large and well-stocked. We stayed in double private room and then also in a dorm room- both spacious and clean.
