“CHALET QUEENSTOWN AWESOME!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2012

A big thank you to Alex for making us most welcome when we stayed here for 5 nights in Feb for our honeymoon. Room was spotless, with great views. The breakfast spread was plentiful, and the eggs and bacon were spot on! The walk in to town takes about 5-10 mins depending which route you take (down Frankton road or Stanley street), but not to far away for it to be a problem. All in all a great place to stay. Would we come again- YES! Cheers Alex. James and Sarah from York, UK.

The room was nice and clean, and was a reasonable size, with modern decor. The en suite was a little small, and looked like it had been constructed into the room. We had the back corner room, this gave great views out on to the lake from the balcony, which is shared with the whole of the upper floor. The walk to town is a brisk 10 mins, and is down quite a steep hill, which you obviously have to walk up on the way out of town. Breakfast was a good spread and both hot and cold options are available. Hosts were very friendly, and allowed me to use their office to print and scan a document I had to email home in a hurry.

Alex is a great host and made us most welcome. Lovely room with a view of lake and mountains. Very comfortable and all conveniences provided. Superb breakfast.
Bit of a walk up hill from the town but then so are most of the hotels and its worth it! Thanks Alex.

We stay one night at Chalet Queenstown. We enjoy our stay - nice owners and good breakfast. The only inconvenient was the size of the room - a little bit too small. We reserve the room with a lake view and the balcony was in front of the side street and not in front of the lake.

The Chalet, Queenstown, proved a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for our two nights exploring the lake and Glenorchy. Our room had smashing views over the lake and the mountains and the walk into town was quick and easy. Alex was a welcoming and friendly host and the B&B seemed extremely well run with very good breakfasts and a huge supply of chilled water in the fridge on the landing.
Our room was one of the smaller that we stayed in during our month in New Zealand but it was perfectly comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony outside, which on a fine day adds to the available floor area; there is also a large guest lounge downstairs.
We can thoroughly recommend this B&B and were glad that we had chosen it.

Since I was travelling solo I wanted to stay in a place that was small, clean, and friendly and the Chalet Queenstown worked out perfectly. From the beginning the staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions, and they showed a genuine interest in what the guests where doing and seeing while in Queenstown. The room was clean, in excellent condition and came with a nice view and the bed was very soft. The breakfast was good, and my overall experience was that I made the right choice.

Room Tip: If you want privacy, Room 6 has a private balcony and is offset from the other rooms.
