The staff at the Remarkable Ski Area went out of their way to help us - beyond expectation in fact. Their customer service is highly commended (overhearing the manager dealing with another customer who was challenging). Special mention to Isaac who did all he could to make sure our visit was pleasant. Thank you to the management team for their work and flexibility behind the scenes to rectify an error.

The Remarkables Ski Area

Queenstown

TERRIBLE ! RUN !

TERRIBLE! ITS A SCAM! ZERO STARS!

booked and told i would get an email that i could use to get on the bus for the next day, thirty mins no email, call them back - system is down...

OK so why dont you call me and tell me ? (they have my number)

then tell me I was given wrong info i have to go to town to get my pass because email receipt is not enough and bus would not let me on... OK good thing I called?

(still have zero emails from them )

spend 30 dollars or so to uber into town from my hotel to get the pass.

2. they say the bus is 45 mins...thats a lie!.... its TWO HOURS! - ONE WAY!

SO 4 HOURS A DAY ON A TERRIBLE BUS ! with stinky diesel fumes

3. the bus takes so long you almost miss your lesson... so you wake up at 7am to get on a bus at 740 am so it can take two hours of spilled diesel and fumes and sick people on a bus so you can rush to get to your lesson

4. the ski lift is broken.. TEN times or more a day....so many times most of the day was spent WALKING up the mountain for my lesson (with everyone else) carrying my board

have fun trying to not hit the other people walking up

can you imagine spending the day walking up a mountain because this company is so incompetent?

I asked if this was normal and was told YEP! breaks multiple times a day every day they have seen ! - ( a staff member )

5 some kind of avalanche issue the next day, cancel lessons i guess? dont know they havn't emailed or called to let me know! only way i found out was looking at website

I have emailed them twice and i am going to make an official complaint , if you suffered with this company I urge you to make a complaint, cant get a response from them let alone a refund, i don't want to spend close to a thousand dollars to walk up a mountain!

YOU CANT LIE TO PEOPLE AND NOT FULFIL SERVICES AS ADVERTISED I WANT A FULL REFUND

if i can do anything good in this world (which isnt much no saint) I can at leat tell people to avoid the company that deals with remarkables/nzski/mt hutt/coronet

Kia Ora X6744CNtt,
On behalf of the crew and infrastructure here at The Remarkables I can only apologize to you for the lack of communication, lack of service and lack of operational infrastructure during your recent visit. It certainly looks like all the holes in the swiss cheeze lined up causing a major void which has lead to the bad taste in your mouth regarding our business.
Please make contact with my self through email - ross.lawrence@theremarkables.co.nz for further communication and a possible resolve. I am very confident we can your experience if you are willing to return.

Huge shoutout to our instructor Brigit who looked after us so well all day! We took part in the First Timers Starter Package, and Brigit was with us every step of the way. She was kind, passionate, and above all, patient. Even though we were in a group with eight others, Brigit gave us all personalised feedback and really looked out for each and every one of us!

Although we were actually due to be attending Coronet for the day, the team at the snow centre in Queenstown were incredibly helpful with assisting us to rearrange our plans. They ensured we’d still get the best experience possible, and we sure did!

So thank you again everyone at the Remarkables, and especially Brigit!

We were driven around in a massive group with AATKings and the views were stunning. Beautiful blue Lake Wakatipu surrounded by Remarkables mountain range.

Returning after 4 years, pleased to find a fantastic new cafe. 2 servery ends with basic lunchbar food at 1 end & a gourmet style servery at the other end. Prices are expensive eg sushi $20! Burgers more affordable and well presented. Outside theres a double magic carpet that goes up to another single magic carpet. The left side has the new Sugar Bowl 6 seater chairlift that is super comfy & fast. The ski runs are easy with a couple of blue runs along the way. For the more adventurous the right side has the Shadow Basin with more of the same plus a traverse to some powder runs & blue/black runs. Only downside is that you end up near carpark 4 and have to take wait for the shuttle to get back.
Carpark tip - go right to the top and if lucky you can find a spare park otherwise you're at the mercy of the shuttle at 30 minute intervals. Beware queuing up if you don't have any skis as those that load their skis into the back of the bus then form another queue closer to the bus and seem to jump the normal queue.
