Helen who runs the place is excellent, a hard case, down to earth and professional.
The rooms are spotless and modern and look great.
We would stay again.
The only recommendations is the strange design of the rooms. It does detract a little from the enjoyment but not much. Things like a shower that sprays the whole bath area, a massive bench space which is poorly designed and consequently lacks useability, a heat pump over a bed, and just a slightly impractical layout. I'd shoot the architect :) Oh, needs more cutlery.
However, we really enjoyed our stay there, it's not in town but very very close and surprisngly quiet too. Would recommend getting a 2nd or 3rd floor room though for the view.
Recommended? Yes. In fact if not for poor layout this would have been a 5/5 for the price.
NOTE: they have adjoining rooms which is fine for being together but beware the joining room does have cooking facilities.

Our second stay at this motel, this time 4 nights with friends over the New Year's holiday. As before, the rooms are not huge but are very nicely decorated and well equipped. We had a 2 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms which was a perfect configuration for 2 couples. Both bedrooms had kitchenettes, the bigger room had a bigger and better one so we used that to some extent. Again everything was very clean and tidy, quiet rooms (double glazing) and a reasonably priced internet connection. Excellent location: a 10 minute walk (some uphill) from the town centre, easy to access by car as it's on the main route to the airport and out of the town. The motel is very good value for your money. We've also received very good service from the manager both times.

Room Tip: The units on the roadside have better views but may have slightly more traffic noise (the double glazing blocks most of it). All units have double glazing and heat pumps for heating and cooling.

Clean, tidy motel unit. Nice and quiet, never heard traffic noise or noise from other units. My unit was very small but fine as I was on my own so this wasn't an issue. Loved the blackout curtains - nice and dark at night. Checkin was fast and efficient. The TV in the bathroom was a nice touch.

The following notes maybe important to some (but are in no way complaints from me)
- if you don't have a car, it's a very steep hill to walk up from the centre of town - approximately 10 minute walk
- reception is open from 8am-7pm
- the units are not fully serviced daily (trash & towel only by look of it)

Amenities include fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, basic crockery and cutlery (including can opener and wine bottle opener).

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor if you want a better view of the mountains.

I have been coming to auto line for 3 months every second week to stay and have never had a bad experience.
The service is great and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Never had a problem with any of the rooms and they are all modern, relaxing and clean.
The parking can be a bit tight if big cars try to fit into the smaller parks but typically I have had minima, issues. However, if your no good at parking then there is a park 2 meters away on the road.
My main concern is the negative feedback posted by an earlier guest who got the deal on grab one. Me and my family and some friends were staying the weekend at Autoline as as we went to pay for the accommodation we interrupted the young girl who had received the grab one deal yelling at the staff. The things she was saying were not the sort of things that should be written within this forum but I am 25 and this behaviour and language was 25 disgusting so its not like I'm conservative towards swearing etc.
In fact most of this girls story is a lie and in no way represents what occurred or what the service of the motel is like. Some people are difficult no matter where they go and have a chip on the shoulder. Nothing is ever good enough.
I recommend this motel and will continue to stay here.

The Autoline Motel made our stay in Queenstown really special. Friendly customer service, just the right amount of space in the apartment, stunning views from the top floor and all for a decent price. I hope we will be visiting again.

Room Tip: Room 9 was great.
