Recently stayed here for a week. It was in the most perfect location to everything! We had a few other options to stay at and in hindsight we truly picked the best hotel with location, to everything! Restaurants, tours, drives, shopping, walking.

We paid $15NZD a day to have our car in valet parking, thought at first it was expensive, but in the end it was worth it. Buffet breakfast is $28NZD per person, it was okay, we had it twice, we had a 2 for 1 deal with our stay and they stuffed up each morning, and when I went to check on it they had no clue, so couldn't be bothered to have any more breakfasts with them.

Our room 219 had a few stains on the carpet, and a few stray hairs in the bathroom upon arrival. We felt that room service came way too late in the day, 3pm?!

The hotel itself is located within a quiet area, however in our room we could hear other people using showers and toilets, no voices though.

Happy to stay here again and would suggest to stay here to anyone :-)

Hi Kyzza01,

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it.

Overall I am thrilled to see you enjoyed your stay with us and glad you recommend this to others. As you have said in your review we are extremely lucky with our fantastic location, we know we have the best location in Queenstown and its great to see you think so too!

Thank you for your comments in regards to cleanliness, our Executive Housekeeper is investigating this and following up with her team. Likewise with your breakfast, we do apologise for the inconvenience caused, these areas should have been right from the start and I can assure you on your next visit they will be.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Queenstown.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Queenstown for 5 nights at the end of June. We stayed in a lakeview room which was really nice, comfy bed, awesome view of the lake and snowy mountains. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely.
Unfortunately they only get four stars because when you are paying over 250 per night you expect more than a shower curtain in the bathroom please please get rid of these no one likes a cold shower curtain attacking them while they are in the shower even with the door closed and if you are going to have cane baskets in the bathroom to hold amenities at least clean them our ones had at a years worth of dust on them yuck!

Hi Catznz,

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your comments. The team appreciate your kind comments regarding the service.

You will be glad to hear getting rid of the shower curtains and replacing with a glass door in our bathrooms is on our upgrade plan. While not guarenteeing when this will happen we are certainly aware that this is a priority. We do have rooms with walk in showers available on your next stay if you would prefer this.

We are following up your comments regarding the cane baskets and our Housekeeping team will ensure these are correctly dusted moving forwards.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Regards,
Reinier H. Eulink

I would recommend the Crowne Plaza to absolutely everyone visiting Q/town. It is centrally located within walking distance to all the pubs, hotels, eateries and bus stops, etc. We asked for a 'lake view' room and we were given a room with an absolute lake frontage view. From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, the staff were ever so helpful with all of our requests. The Crowne has a fully equipped gym (which comes in very handy when you think of all the excellent eateries around town). When we needed cutlery, crockery or more linen, they were only too happy to provide same. I would definitely stay there again and a big thank you must go out to Glenys for arranging the best room in the hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view room on the 4th floor and you won't be wanting for a thing.

We recently stayed 5 nights in a lake view room and really enjoyed our stay . The location is Great, you can walk to all the shops and restaurants and the views of the water and mountains are amazing . The staff are fantastic , for $15 a night you get valet parking and everytime you called for the car the response was , no problem. The staff and managers in the restaurant were so friendly and hard working , we saw the managers moving tables , making coffee and serving food. Housekeeping was immaculate. Kudos to the staff training program .The hotel restaurant three sixty was excellent . Try the beef. There is also a nice bar and lounge area. The only area for improvement would be a kids play area . It would have been nice to have a room with some lounges, toys and craft materials for the many rainy days we had in queenstown.

We stayed 5 nights recently at the Crowne Plaza. We stayed on level 5 top level at the front of the hotel with great views and brilliant location. We had room and breakfast package which was a really good deal. Lots of choice for breakfast and what a view from the breakfast room. We found all the staff to be friendly and efficient. Room size was good and really good shower and bath. If you just want to hang around Queenstown and not get a car this is the best location. The local buses to the Airport and Remarkables Shopping Centre are very frequent and reasonably priced. You catch it in town and only 8NZD one way to the Airport.

We stayed here for 4 nights to enjoy some skiing. I chose the Crowne Plaza as it was a great location and great price. We found the room clean and tidy, though the fridge was a little noisy! Reception team very friendly and helpful. Skiers tip - you will want some slippers if you are using the ski locker as part of the access is outside. Overall a great stay in Queenstown.

Hi Roxanne C,

Thank you for your review regarding your recent visit, we really do appreciate it.

You will be pleased to know our ski locker is now fully stocked with complimentary slippers for our guests. We would have loved to have internal access however due to the lobby being tiled we want everyone to keep safe, sometimes wet ski boots can be very slippery.

Our Maintenance team are currently completing thier preventative maintenance checks on rooms so we will ensure they are aware of the fridge and get this looked in to.

We look forward to hopefully having you back sometime soon.

After reading reviews and thinking about location, we chose the Crowne for our weekend away. Was the most convenient for us as we did not have a car. A couple of mins and we are in the central of CBD Queenstown. Great views over the lake. We spent the extra to get a lake view room, as was recommended, and am glad we did. I used the fitness centre and was surprised about the amount and good quality of the equipment. Our room was not at all shabby, as suggested by other reviewers. The entrance was elegant, clean and new looking, as was our room. Very clean, comfortable bed and modern room. Great for a romantic escape without the children!
