Th.e mini-suites are fabulous with great views of the lake. Washer and dryer a huge plus, as is the full kitchen, including French press coffee maker. Most comfortable bed we have yet to find in New Zealand. Very friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to downtown and lake.

We have stayed at the Heritage in Queenstown many times and have never been disappointed. This World Class resort hotel is stunning! We spent time relaxing by the pool where they had great loungers and umbrella's.
Because Queenstown has so many restaurants & bars, you're not going to want to drink & drive. They have free passes for the local bus service to & from town which runs every 1/2 hour.
When you book, make sure you find a package that includes a free
buffet breakfast...this is legendary!
Stunning setting...my favourite place to stay in NZ.

This was our favorite city and hotel in our multi-city 3 week trip in Aus and NZ. Don't know about the rest of the hotel, but our lake front, 3 br villa was pretty, comfortable and well-appointed. One evening, we even cooked a salmon we caught in the lake and ate in. Front desk/concierge staff are EXCELLENT. It's a 5 min ride on a free bus to the town center, and given the number of 20-somethings, we were glad for the quiet of out of town when we wanted a good night's rest. There's a great hiking track that starts next to the hotel (which the hotel should promote a bit more as we found out about it at the end of our stay), by which you can walk into the city in 20 minutes, or 10 via the lakefront - either way the hotel location is a plus. Hotel breakfast okay, lacks imagination, so if not included, best to cook your own. Fitness center and pool leave much to be desired, but that's not the point of going to Queenstown.

I was not impressed with this place. The rooms were dark and sorely in need of redecoration. The bathroom smelt of urine. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, itchy and I was plagued by moths and mosquitoes at night. Washing machine was difficult to program with incorrect instruction manuals. Dishwasher was old and unreliable. Extremely expensive meals - $20 for a basic beef burger! Location is not that close to CBD. Saving graces are friendly and efficient room service, negotiable check-out time and free access to spa/pool/gym. Even Internet access is expensive.

Just returned from a trip to Queenstown, we picked the hotel for the views of the lake and we were not dissapointed. Rooms are good, have everyhting that you need without going over the top, excellent breakfast spread. the weather wasnt great so we didnt get the benifit of the pool , but we were very happy with the resort. The only thing that we didnt like was that when we returned to the hotel after 10 pm each evening the bar was closed and it was set up for breakfast the next day.
Other than that negative point , it would return to Queenstown and return to the hotel

We have booked 3 bedroom garden view villa for 6 of us on the net. However, upon arrival in NZ, this place also feature in some magazine discount coupon (can't remember which magazine, maybe AA travel??) which offer free upgrade on our booking. So we asked the hotel whether it is possible. The hotel gave us the upgrade to tha lakeview 3 bedroom villa which is absolutely stunning. The staff are very friendly and polite. The service was fast (I was asking for extra milk, and in just 5 minute, they knock on the door and deliver us the milk) and the staff are very courteous. They even offer whether we need help to lift our luggage when check-in and check-out, which is an extra bonus :) Love their amenities too. Plus free wi-fi and internet on the lobby. Great place to stay!!
