Spent a week here, the noise from other rooms carries really badly into your room. Decor is dated, but the rooms were clean. Housekeeping can occur at anytime during the day. The spa was faulty, despite repeatedly advising reception during the week. Location is good, a 5 minute downhill walk into CBD. Room was offered as 2 bed, 2 bath - one bathroom had a bath/shower, and one a shower only, neither had a toliet. Both toilets were separate, and on different floors of the 2 storey apartment.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 7 days. On the surface, the rooms appeared slightly dated but the views were stunning.

Throughout the night, you hear what sounds like people running from the apartment next door and unexpected loud bangs in the middle of the night. If you are unlucky like us, you’ll be places near the lifts and the air conditioning plant which is super noisy. The “queen beds” are just two old twin beds pushed together. You sink into them because the mattresses are old and clearly need replacing even though they have pillow tops on them. I had the worst nights sleep here.

They say it’s a two bathroom unit but actually it’s 1 room with a bath/shower combo and 1 room with a small shower. You then have shared toilets upstairs and downstairs.

There is only 1 safe in the apartment and that’s in the main bedroom.

Tip- it’s very cold in the second bedroom so ask for a portable heater.

Lounge room is comfy. The balcony has great views. Fridge is a bar fridge so don’t stock up on to much food/drinks.

Free parking was a bonus.

Everything you need. Free carpark, bus stop right outside, or you could even walk 15min to town. Laundry, spa, bar, restuarant, slippers and robe, microwave, fridge and kettle with crockery and cutlery. Spacious room with comfy bed with plenty of options for newspaper etc. Our deal included breakfast which was a great bonus. The breakfast varied slightly each day and had a good selection on offer. The view was great both from restuarant and our lakeside room. Would definately stay again.

Copthorne reminds you of the 60's and 70's block buildings. But don't go on the facade. The rooms are spacious and overlook the lake.
The hotel is centrally located on the Frankton road and the town centre is about 900m. Busses ply regularly and stop right outside the hotel, incase you don't want to do the steep incline walk back from the city. They have a large breakfast spread and enough options to suit many. The staff was courteous and always willing to help. They have a small spa which was fun to try.
We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath with a fully equipped kitchen split level apartment and had a wonderful time. The rooms had heaters but no fans/ air con which could be an issue in summer.

Room tip: Ask for the rooms facing the lake and if travelling as a family go for the apartment.
