Stayed for 2 nights with my partner and her brother.

A suprisingly well appointed property with absolutley everything we needed.

Small kitchenette with microwave, sink and cutlery and crockery.

Housekeeping clearly take pride in their work the room and bathrooms were spotless as well as being well appointed.

Close enough to town to walk (10-15 minutes) or you can take the complimentary shuttle leaving from their sister property (Millenium) approx 2-5 minute walk.

Free parking for guests.

This property would of received an excellent rating if it wasnt for the bloody anoying credit card surcharge that Millenium group insist on penalising their customers (including very regular ones!). Its only a small thing but really why not build it into the room charge leaves a sour taste after such a nice stay.

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel which has been redecorated between visits. We had front facing unit, (4th floor), two levels, two balconies offering superb views. The accomm was very spacious and clean. Staff very helpful with sightseeing information etc. If every room had 1 car, there wouldn't have been enough spaces. The car park was slightly difficult to access. Other than this, we had no problems at all with this hotel.

This hotel has been around for at least 20yrs I have stayed a number of times . If your on a budget it's a good option it's been recently through a refit so our room which was on the 4th floor two bedroom had new Capet paint fittings etc and was clean and tidy. Flat screen LCD tv in both lounge and master bedroom.

Good value for money

Our unit was perfect for the price. Not five star but clean & spacious, a great base for our ski trip. Kitchen, lounge, toilet, balc Downstairs. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms upstairs. Undercover parking. maybe 10 min walk to town centre. You can grab a hot snack type breakfast on yr way out in the morning. We had the buffet breaky once, it was great. Nice staff, helpful with ski reports.

Copthorne is a step up from Kingsgate and has a more spacious lobby but the room feeling, furnishing etc. are similar. We were told that the restaurant required reservations but in the room just off the bar we did not. The servers were friendly and the food quite good. A little more pricey than what we had been used to. We stayed two nights and spent most of a day strolling around Queenstown. It is a lovely resort type town with lots of restaurants, hotels, and very nice shops. The waterfront is great and their are numerous trails along the water and up into the forests. The botanical garden was just coming into bloom and quite lovely. Again this hotel had the 20 minute free Internet rule but one had to wait a full 24 hours before logging on again. Not having free or at least low cost Internet has become one of my pet peeves along with charging $4 to use one's credit card.

Stayed there on the way back from Te Anau. Got a family room for around NZ$195 or so. Fantastic value. Furniture seems to be quite new. Direct views from the balcony and the masterbed room of the Lake and the Remarkables Mt range. Gym was quite bad though only a threadmill, a rower and free weights without a bench.

We stayed here last month for 3 nights. Our room had a wonderful lakeview and a private balcony. We liked being a ten minute walk from the town centre although it was down into the centre and uphill on the return walk! The hotel receptionists were all excellent and always gave a 100% customer service to all their customers. They went the extra mile on numerous occassions - always mindful of their customer's needs. The room was spacious and well furnished with a small area as a kitchen. We used the private spa which proved to be a popular facility so you need to book it in advance. The breakfast was good and it was nice eating breakfast overlooking the lake. The staff serving breakfast were friendly and kept a watchful eye to ensure excellent customer service. We would definately stay here again
