Whilst in Queenstown we really fancied Indian food so chose here based on it being the highest rating Indian Restaurant on TA.......hmmmmmm!
Overall I'd rate it as pretty average and not sure I'd recommend it, if this is the best Queenstown has to offer I'd perhaps do without next time.
We shared the tandoori mix grill to start, it was presented sizzling on a grill plate and smelled delicious. However, it was smaller than I expected and where some items seriously lacked seasoning, others were over salted.
Our 2 main curries were the Fish Malabari & Goat Nawabi. The Malabari sauce was just as expected and the fish was well cooked. The goat dish was a strange one, the pieces of goat ranged from meltingly tender to chewy & fatty, the curry sauce was nice enough but had no real depth - the overriding flavour being cardamom. We had garlic naan breads which would have benefit from a light brushing of oil as the garlic was dry.
Overall ok, but wouldn't return.
