Why is it so hard to find great pastry in Australia when this bakery shows it can be done so well.
The pies are fabulous both for their high quality pastry and delicious and interesting variety of fillings. We never eat Australian pies, preferring not to guess what's hidden in the unidentifiable sludge that hides inside the cheap, stodgy pastry so often offered.
Perhaps our pie makers should take a trip to Fergbaker to see how well it can be done?
