One of my friends and I decided to go riding as it is one of our last days in Queenstown. We booked our trek in the morning and were on the 1.5 h Moke Lake ride in the afternoon. The driver was really friendly and the ride up to Moke Lake was beautiful. At the moment there are a lot of little lambs at the station - I would have loved to grab one out of the car to cuddle them. Our Trekguide was a very nice girl from France who gave us a demonstration with clear intructions how to ride a horse as we have never done that before. She also provided information on the area. It was really interesting - especially the part with the gold mining. Our horses were well behaved and looked very good. We had so much fun although the weather wasn't perfect - luckily they did supply gloves and a rainjacket as it was raining a bit during the trek. Before we left we were allowed to give them some food and help to brush them down. Best thing we have done so far in New Zealand. Would recommend that to everyone!
